General Announcements
To those students
and staff who do not have a scheduled class and who are interested, the library
will be broadcasting the 2017 Inauguration in the snack area at 10:00 am today.
The Winter Dance is
coming up, Saturday January 28th !
Starting today, Tom’s and Cheers will be selling tickets during the
lunch periods, $3.00 in advance, $5.00 at the door. The Dress is Western Casual, AHS Dress Code
Applies. This dance is for AHS students only.
Do you randomly burst into song? Ever
dance through the halls? Do you want to be a part of Arapahoe High School
history? Have we got the show for you! Auditions for the Spring Musical, Parmageddon, will be held
January 31st through February 1st in the theatre. Go to the choir room or
theatre hallway to sign up! Check Mr. Ahern’s or Ms. Parmenter’s webpage for
more information.
Have you taken 3 business classes?
If so, you may be eligible to be a member of the National Business Honor
Society. Last day for applications is today
Key Clubbers! Our first meeting back will
be held next Monday the 23rd in E-1287, the tiered classroom. We
have important information for you, so make sure you attend.
Come one; come all; tonight to see
the Company class perform 12th Night by William Shakespeare. Admission is free for everyone, so don't miss
one of Shakespeare's most famous comedies this Friday night at 7:00pm in the AHS theatre.
Junior, sophomore,
and freshmen students & parents/guardians, you are invited to attend the
2017 College Night on Monday, February 6, 2017 from 6-8 pm. The
keynote speaker will break down the process of the college search and
determining which college is the best fit for you. Please check your email
this week for the Google response form that will track your RSVP for two
breakout sessions.
Athletics
Hitch a ride to Cherokee Trail today, January 20, to support the Arapahoe
Boys Basketball teams as they take on the Cougars. Freshman play at 4:00 pm, JV and sophomores at 5:30 pm, and the Varsity team will tip at 7:00 pm. Get on out to Cherokee Trail and support the Warrior's !
Attention all baseball players. We will have a team meeting
on Monday January 23rd at 3 pm in the Forum. Winter athletes do
not need to attend.
AHS Girls Tennis: There will be an informational meeting
regarding tryouts and the tennis season on January 24 at 6:00 pm. The
meeting will be in Room E-1287 – the tiered classroom across from the theater.
Registration is now open for the
2017 Boys swim/Dive season. Don’t forget to attend the Boys Swim/Dive Kick Off
meeting for parents, swimmers and divers will be held in the Library Monday, Jan 23rd
from 6 pm
- 8 pm. Please plan to attend so you can meet the coaches, captains,
teammates, get information and order gear for the upcoming season!
