The PE and Health Department is sponsoring Wellness Week this week! All Staff and students are invited to participate in this challenge. Check the Arapahoe website for the wellness challenge worksheet. Look and listen for physical, mental, and social health tips all week long. And this Wednesday, Valentine’s Day, we will be wearing the color red for heart disease awareness. Invest in your health today and join us today!
Tired of feeling like Valentine’s Day just isn’t for you? Let’s break the exclusiveness of Valentine’s Day and make it a time for everyone to enjoy with Palentine’s Day! Right now, we’ll take a minute to celebrate our positive pals! Write out things that you admire about your friends. Your teacher will collect your responses and they will be made into paper chains around the school! If you don’t have a third hour class and would still like to participate, there are slips available in the cafeteria today at lunch time.
Attention all students looking for a job right now or a summer job. You are invited to a presentation by South Suburban, one of the areas largest employers in the forum during 1st and 2nd period tomorrow. They are looking to hire 500 employees. Come see Mr. Sawyer in the Business Department for more information if you are unable to attend the presentation.
Attention Seniors.....GRADUATION ANNOUNCEMENT PICK UP is tomorrow - FEBRUARY 13th. If you ordered Graduation Announcements from Herff Jones, please stop by the cafeteria to pick them up tomorrow between 10:30 - 12:30.
The Swim Waiver for current AHS students will be Thursday, March 8th @ 6:00am in the swimming pool. Students must email or stop by and see Mrs. Leyden in the Women's PE Office to pre-register. Space is limited to 15 students. See Mrs. Leyden if you have any questions.
Students - Interested in the Health Sciences Program offered by LPS for next year? Stop by the Counseling Department and see your counselor. Applications are due by February 28th.

Students interested in Boys Lacrosse: Tuesday, February 20th we will have a Pre-Season Information Night for all parents and players grades 9 through 12 who plan to tryout. The meeting will be held in the School Cafeteria from 6:30 to 8 p.m. Our pre-season camp for all prospective Boys Lacrosse players will be held February 20th through February 23rd at Lorenz Park from 3:00 to 5:00 p.m. Tryouts are February 26th through March 2nd at Lorenz from 3:00 to 5:00 p.m. Finally, the Annual Spring Fling Fundraiser for the Boys Lacrosse Program will be held at the Breckenridge Brewery in Littleton on Friday, February 23rd.
