General Announcements 

Attention all FBLA members! Have you heard the scoop? We're having an ice cream social today to celebrate an amazing district conference, where 89 Arapahoe students qualified for state! Please meet in the cafeteria immediately after school to put a cherry on top of our successful competition. 

Attention Seniors: The yearbook staff has posted your senior portraits and biographies in the art hallway next to the journalism room E-1288. Please stop by to check your senior photo and bio for accuracy. There are forms available to make corrections if you need. 

Happy Wellness Week! Break up with stress this Valentine’s Day! A lower stress level leads to a healthier heart and a happier life! And did you know, sending love letters may lower your blood cholesterol, holding hands calms nerves, and laughter makes your blood flow more freely! So remember to take care of your heart and have a happy Valentine’s Day! 

Free Alive @ 25 class next Tuesday February 20th at 2:30 pm in room W1874. If you are voluntarily taking the class the Sheriff's Office pays for your $79 fee. If you are 15 1/2 you can get drivers permit after taking the class and a lot insurance companies give you a discount. This is a 4 1/2 hour class. Sign up online at www.aliveat25.us to register for the class and the password is "arapahoe" Any questions ask Deputy Englert 

The Swim Waiver for current AHS students will be Thursday, March 8th @ 6:00am in the swimming pool. Students must email or stop by and see Mrs. Leyden in the Women's PE Office to pre-register. Space is limited to 15 students. See Mrs. Leyden if you have any questions. 

Students - Interested in the Health Sciences Program offered by LPS for next year? Stop by the Counseling Department and see your counselor. Applications are due by February 28th. 

Athletics 

Come out and support the Girls Basketball team tonight as your Warriors take on Cherokee Trail at their last home game and Senior Night! The game is at 7 pm but come early to support our Senior player presentations at 6:45 pm. Let's fill the stands in support of our Seniors: Maggie Wortman, Kaya Duncan, Abby Browne, Jordan Novinger, Mia Middleton, Anna McCollister and Sarah Lorenzen. 

Attention all baseball players. Pre-season camp begins next Tuesday February 20th at 2:45 on the Varsity field. Anyone interested should see Coach Dollaghan in the Social Studies office. 

Your LPS hockey team had a strong 3-2 WIN against Aspen in overtime on Saturday which puts them in the #1 spot in their conference. The team has 2 big games this week so please come out to cheer them on! They face Columbine on Thursday at 8pm at South Suburban and Res Christian on Saturday at NOCO in Fort Collins at 1:15 pm. 

Congratulations to the Lady Water Warriors on their 4th place finish at State this past weekend! Diver Franny Cable was crowned State Champion, with a score of 531.45! Senior Delaney Smith finished her career in style with a 4th place finish in the 100 breaststroke and a second place finish in the 200 Individual Medley. Dive coach Jeff Smith was honored as the Diving Coach of the Year! Way to go team! 

Your Boys Basketball Warriors have two remaining games in regular season. Tonight at Cherokee Trail High School at 7 pm and Friday night, here at Arapahoe at 7 pm against Overland. Come support your fellow Warriors as they finish out the season strong.
