General Announcements 

Are you ready for some comedy? Come see the Arapahoe Fall Play, The Brothers Grimm Spectaculathon! Performances are this Thursday, Friday and Saturday at 7:00 pm. Tickets are available online, see Mr. Ahern's teacher page for details.

The library will close on Tuesday October 9th at 1:20 pm. You will be able to drop off your daily checked out laptops and power cords until 3:35 p.m. at the library entrance.

It’s time for eligible juniors and seniors to apply for membership in the National Honor Society! If you are a junior with a cumulative GPA of 3.5 or higher, or a senior with a cumulative GPA of 3.25 or higher, then you are eligible to apply for membership. If your GPA makes you eligible for NHS, but you haven't received a letter mailed to your home yet, please contact Mr. Smith or Ms. McGeorge in the science office, or Ms. Leclaire in language arts. This letter also tells about important informational meetings going on today and tomorrow before and after school. If you are applying for membership to NHS, you MUST attend one of these meetings to learn about the club and the application process.

This weeks FBLA meeting day has changed. The meeting will now be on Tuesday after school in the Forum. Please come to the meeting to prepare for the Shredathon event and learn about FBLA competitions.

Financial Aid Night is on for tonight in the theater. The presentation will begin promptly at 6:00 PM and will include information on scholarships and saving money by applying for federal and institutional aid. Hope to see students, parents, and guardians from any grade there tonight!

All sophomore Post Grad visits scheduled for Monday & Tuesday will be held in the library. Juniors & seniors, college visits scheduled Monday and Tuesday will be in library as well.

PSAT tickets are still being sold. Come by the Counseling department and purchase your ticket for $20. PSAT will be this Wednesday, October 10th at 9:30 am.

Attention All Junior and Seniors: The 2019 trip to Washington DC is here again! This trip is an amazing opportunity to experience Washington DC and Capitol Hill first hand. If you are interested in learning more please attend the student/parent interest meeting next Wednesday October 10th at 6 pm in room W-2887. Please see Ms. Winn in the social studies department if you are not able to attend or have questions.

Athletics 

The boys tennis team competed in regionals last week. The team placed first overall. Congrats to Tyler Landen, Jared Green, Ryan Wood, Nick Stephenson, Jacob Lobb, Chase Wern, Jake Hall, Clark Pearson and Max DaHarb for placing first at their position and qualifying for the state tournament. Congrats to Connor Rundell and Francis Jasper for placing 2nd at #3 doubles. The state qualifiers will compete in the state tournament on Thursday, Friday, and Saturday at Gates Tennis Center.

Boys basketball open gym will be canceled tonight. The next open gym will be Wednesday night at 6:15.- again no open gym tonight.
