The ‘Pride of Arapahoe’ Warrior Marching Band participated in the Colorado Bandmasters Association’s State Competition at the United States Air Force Academy- performing their 2018 show, Mother Nature. Drum Major Kalyn Bennett conducted, with solo performances by Addie Rael on flute and Ryan Bennett on Saxophone. Arapahoe took second place in Quarter Finals Competition Friday and advanced to compete in semifinals/finals Saturday. For the sixth consecutive year, Arapahoe band is proud to bring home a State Finalist finish in 5A State Competition. Congratulations Warrior Band and Color Guard!
Attention all G/T students: our annual meeting to update you on your ALP goals will be held next week on Monday and Tuesday from 7:30 am - 8:15 am in E1287. Please join us on one of those mornings to hear about the G/T program at Arapahoe and to meet other G/T students. See you then!
Attention all FBLA Members. There is a very important meeting this Wednesday after school in the forum. This will be the first opportunity that you have to sign up for FBLA competitions. If you are unable to attend the meeting, there will be a makeup meeting on Friday morning at 7:45am in room s1406X.
Happy Veteran's Week, Warriors! "To those in uniform serving today and to those who have served in the past, we honor you today and every day." Come to the cafeteria during lunch to engage with our military personnel and Veterans’ Day Events all week. As always, Arapahoe is proud of our active and retired military alumni, and we honor all who have served our great country.
The first round of club photos for the yearbook will be taken on the theatre stage before and after school tomorrow. The following clubs are signed up for Wednesday morning -- Chess Club at 8:30, Warriors of the Word at 8:40, Math Club at 8:50, Improv Club at 9:00 and Ultimate Frisbee at 9:10. The following clubs are signed up for Wednesday afternoon-- Key Club at 3:40, Mountain Biking at 3:50 and Sources of Strength at 4:00. Please report to the band/theatre hallway 5 - 10 minutes early so that we can get your club organized and just in case we are ahead of schedule. Thank you!
Free Alive @ 25 class Wednesday November 14th at 3:45pm - 8:15pm in room W1874. If you are voluntarily taking the class the Sheriff's Office pays for your $79 fee. If you are 15 1/2 you can get drivers permit after taking the class and a lot insurance companies give you a discount. This is a 4 1/2 hour class. Athletics
Come cheer on the Toms Thursday night at 6pm at Smoky Hill High School when they compete at Centennial League! Go Toms!
Your Arapahoe Cheerleaders will be competing in the Centennial League Championships tomorrow at Cherokee Trail High School! Come support Varsity at 6pm, and JV at 6:15pm! If you are unable to make it to League, consider attending Regionals on Saturday, November 10th as the cheerleaders compete at the National Western Complex in Denver. JV performs at 6:51pm and Varsity competes at both 6:34pm and 9:38pm. Wear your black and gold and get ready to yell the Arapahoe spell out with us!
All hockey players who are interested in trying out for the LPS CHSAA Ice Hockey team, it is time to register! The LPS hockey program is a combined team with players from Arapahoe, Heritage, Littleton, and Options.Please go to heritageeagleshockey.com website to register. Tryouts will be held on Monday 11/12 and Tuesday 11/13 from 3:55-5pm at South Suburban Ice Rink.
Come out and support the ABK Varsity soccer team in their run for a state championship when they take on Broomfield in the semifinals on Wednesday. Game is at 5 pm at Echo Park Stadium. Let’s go ABK!
