*It's feeling pretty wacky around here warriors! Thank you for all of you who dressed in your best wacky tacky style and displaying your lime green shirts in honor of Tony. Yes, lime green is his favorite color. We want you all to come to the senior vs. staff basketball game tonight at 7pm. You can buy tickets at the door for $5.00. Heads will be shaved, pies will be thrown and points will be scored for Tony's Wish.
*GRADUATION, GRADUATION! Seniors who still have not picked up their graduation announcements, please stop by the Counseling Department and pick them up. Your parents will thank you!
*JUNIORS who have been invited to help with graduation --it is not too late to sign up. We still need you. Come by Mrs. Fletcher's office ASAP!
*The Swim Waiver scheduled for Thursday, March 21 @ 7:15 AM has been re-scheduled for: Thursday, April 25th @ 7:15 am. Only those that had previously signed up for the waiver can take the test on Thursday, April 25th. See Mrs. Leyden if you have any questions.
*Attention all sophomores and juniors interested in Link Crew. Today is the last day to turn in your application. You can submit them on Moritz’s desk in the Language Arts department. Thanks.
*Hey Senior Boys! Don’t miss out on your final chance to be Mr. Arapahoe 2019! Applications are available in theMath office! You don’t want to miss out on this amazing opportunity! Applications are due at the end of this week!
*The March Madness Tournament of B O O K S in our library is running throughout March. Be a part of the Madness! Take the survey found in your LPS email each week through April 3rd. Remember there is a contest, for those who vote EACH week through April 4th, you will have a chance to win a $25 Tattered Cover Gift Card.
*Seniors, if you have done community service, apply for the Claire Davis Memorial Scholarship! This is a $2,000 award. The deadline has been extended until this Friday, March 22nd at 3:00 PM.
*Art Attack is back! Our annual Spring art show is coming up soon, and we need your artwork! If you have something you would like to be displayed in Art Attack, please bring it to the art department by this Friday, March 22. There will be awards and prizes for the most outstanding artwork, so be sure to submit yours for consideration! See any art teacher with questions.
Athletics
*Congrats the JV Gold Girls Tennis team for starting the season with two victories over Denver East and D’Evelyn. Join the tennis team at Yogurtland on Thursday at 5:30 to help support Tony's wish.
*The Fresh/Soph ABK Ladies fought hard against Columbine Monday afternoon, but came away with a tie. Please come out today at 4:30 to cheer them on as they face the Regis Raiders! GO Warriors!
*Come on out to the baseball field today to watch your Arapahoe Warriors Varsity Baseball team take on Heritage at 4 pm. The snack shack will be open with grilled hot dogs and hamburgers as well as plenty of great snacks. See you there!
*The Warrior Boys Lacrosse season will commence Wednesday versus Columbine at Trailblazer Stadium with a 7:30 p.m matchup. Come out and support your highly regarded lacrosse team as they start their Spring journey.
*Varsity and JV Girls Golf have their first tournament of the season TODAY at Foothills Golf Course. Match starts at 3:30pm! Go Warriors!
*Warriors, AHS Cheerleading Tryouts for the 2019-2020 season are being held April 1st through the 5th! Join us in the Upper Gym for clinics and evaluations! A valid and up to date physical is necessary to tryout. Visit the AHS cheerleading website or contact Coach Kacie Ireland for more information. All paperwork is due on April 2nd! Go Warriors!
