General Announcements
*Hey Warriors, just a reminder that if you intend to apply for NHS your application needs to be submitted by today, October 13th. All your references and fees are due Tuesday, October 20th for Group B & Thursday, October 22nd for Group A. If you have any questions please contact Mr. Sexson, Ms. Bownds, or Ms. Wheeler.
*Free Application Day in Colorado is TODAY, October 13th. Seniors, you can submit your applications according to specific instructions that are posted on the senior page of the Post Grad website and in Google Classroom. Your college application tracking forms for transcripts and letters of recommendation do not need to be in by Tuesday. These should be submitted 10 school days before your actual early action or regular decision deadline.
*Seniors! Do you have a November 1st college application deadline? The College Application Tracking Form is due TODAY by 4:00 PM for all schools with a November 1st application deadline. See Mrs. Arnold in the main office or Mrs. Hall in the library if you have questions regarding the College Application Tracking Form.
*Be a part of the LPS Foundation’s STRIDE! Run, walk, bike, swim, hike, dance... whatever moves you! This year’s Stride will be a no-contact 5K/10K event within a three-day window between October 23rd and the 25th. Help our school win a $1,000 Stride Grant! Register by Sunday, October 11th at runthestride.com.
*“One dark and stormy night...” This line has been the opening for many horror classics, and this Halloween, Arapahoe may just discover its very own classics among our student body. We invite you to write and enter a short story that fits the theme: Haunted Forest. The deadline is Friday, October 23rd. You have a chance to win gift cards, gift baskets and to be published on various Warrior Media Platforms! Join the Google Classroom for more information and to submit your story. The code is USVFZRL.

Athletics
*Congratulations to the Boys Cross Country Team for finishing 4th at Regionals. Two runners earned 2nd team all-region honors. Great season, gentlemen!
*Congratulations to the Girls Cross Country Team for placing 2nd at Regionals. Four runners earned 1st team all-region recognition. They will run at the State Meet on Saturday, October 17th.
