General Announcements
*Warriors: please remember when entering or reentering the school all students need to enter through the east bubble entrance or the north forum entrance. Students, please do not open locked doors to other students for entry.
*Anyone interested in joining the Technology Student Association club should plan to attend a brief meeting TODAY after school at 3:45 in Rm. E1286. We will discuss our work for this upcoming school year!
*Students who go across the street during lunches and unscheduled time should understand that if you are crossing Dry Creek without the signal or jaywalking, you are subject to a $125 ticket. Deputy Englert and Deputy Tipton are monitoring the crosswalk for warnings and violations. Do your part to keep our street safe for all students.
*Students, please be reminded that the school dress code is in effect. Midriffs and crop tops that expose bare stomachs are in violation of the dress code. These violations can result in school discipline. You can read more about the dress code on pg. 20 of the AHS student planner.
*Calling ALL Lady Warriors! It's time to play some football!!! Make a team of 10-12 players and join the Powder Puff Football tourney during Homecoming week. All registration info is on the AHS website or on instagram @ArapahoeStuco. Teams must be registered by Sept. 6th. The earlier you register the more practice time your team will have before the big tourney on Sept. 11th.
*Let the Adventure Begin...We are going Around the World for Homecoming 2021! Mark your calendars for a week you won't forget. Homecoming week begins Sept. 13th and will be a week filled with events and spirit. All Warriors will want to participate! Save Saturday, Sept 18th for the big HOCO dance from 8 - 10:30 p.m. Tickets are $15.00 and will be sold in a few weeks.
*Calling all inspiring leaders! We have an opportunity for every Warrior to grow in leadership by joining the Student Council. All grade levels are invited to apply to be a Student Council ambassador. Applications are available now and due by August 27th. Please ask Mrs. Kuhlman, Mrs. Abner or Ms. Price about the opportunity. All students are welcome to join us at any Student Council meeting every Tuesday at 7:15 a.m. in the Forum. We are currently planning Homecoming so come contribute your ideas.
*Warriors, if you are interested in starting a club or getting more information about joining a club, please come by the Activities Office in the main office for all club details and information.
*Are you craving some mouth-watering juicy Palisade peaches? Pre-orders will be accepted through today and the peaches will be arriving on Thursday. Delivery will be at the Lutheran Church of the Holy Spirit at 6400 S. University. They will have some extras available to sell on Thursday until 6:00 p.m. -first come, first served. Athletics
*Come to Sitting Eagle Gymnasium today for the Volleyball home opener! Sophomores play at 4:30, JV at 5:00 and Varsity at 6:30. Let’s pack the gym!
*The Varsity Softball Team improved to 4 wins and no losses yesterday with a win at Regis. Both the Varsity and JV teams play Horizon this afternoon at home. Come out to the field and support your softball Warriors!
*Our Field Hockey Warriors beat Smoky Hill yesterday and they play again today at home vs. Fossil Ridge. Varsity at 6:00 p.m. and JV at 7:45 p.m. Come cheer on our Warriors!
*HEY students! Want to show your spirit and hop on the spirit bus to the Varsity Football game against Rocky Mountain High School in Fort Collins this Friday, August 27? Go to the athletic office to get signed up and for details!
*AHS Cheerleading is holding Fall Tryouts! If you are interested in trying out for cheerleading this fall, fill out the interest form linked in the bio of AHS cheers instagram page @arapahoe_cheerleading or send us a DM. Tryouts will be held August 31st, September 1st, and September 2nd in the wrestling gym.
*Want to leave a legacy? Consider donating to the weight room renovation by buying a commemorative brick to be placed near the exterior entrance of the weight room. Visit AHS athletics page and click on the link under 'Highlights' for more information.
