****And now an important message from our Principal, Mrs. Pramenko...
Good morning warriors! I would like to start by thanking you for your cooperation this week as we had to literally shift overnight to wearing masks again. I also want to remind you that just like last year, it’s important to remember that everybody feels differently about wearing masks. I find it helpful to identify a personal reason that makes it important for me to keep my mask on inside. For me, it’s to help protect those who are vulnerable to the virus as well as the hope that we can stay in school all year this year! There are so many incredible events that we have planned for the school year that if we go hybrid or go remote we won’t get to do. Ask some of the upperclassmen about the awesome assemblies, dances, concerts, shows, and other events we have planned. Currently Tri-County has not restricted capacity and has allowed spectators into our events. We don’t want to do anything to jeopardize those.
Please, Warriors, take care of one another by showing respect to others’ feelings as we continue to navigate this pandemic. The current Tri-County Health order requires us to properly wear masks right now in our school building. And if you’ve been listening to or watching the news the past couple of days even colleges and universities around us are going to the same mandate. The masks must cover your nose and chin and must meet the correct requirements. Gaiters and masks with vents are prohibited by the health order. Please see any adult if you need a new mask. Reminding you to wear it properly is the least favorite part of our job right now, but we must continue to do so to keep everyone safe. Your Arapahoe teachers want you to stay in school with them every day. They work so hard to prepare their lessons for you and value every minute of their time with you. They are great about giving you mask breaks throughout class, and remember that when you are outdoors you do not have to wear them at all. That is a significant improvement over last fall. Please remain respectful to their requests and stay patient with one another.
Last night our girls played volleyball against Heritage. It was a special night even though the scoreboard was not on our side. It was special because our crowd was packed and it was united. They were loud, positive, and supportive of our girls the entire night. Let’s carry that prideful Warrior spirit into LPSS tonight for our blackout football game against Heritage. Thank you again for your patience and support! Let’s make it a great day, Warriors!
