*Arapahoe High School Celebrates National School Resource Officer Day!
At Arapahoe we are so fortunate to partner with the Arapahoe County Sheriff for our two fantastic School Resource Officers. Deputies Englert and Tipton are so much more than guests in our school- they are vital parts of our school community. They can be seen walking the halls and restrooms everyday as they engage with students and staff alike. They have presented in many classes and have created the first responders club that meets every other Wednesday. They are a friendly face at events like games and dances- and both are willing to drop whatever they are doing to help you. Thank you Deputies Englert and Tipton for many many years of keeping Warriors safe at AHS. We are lucky to have you!
*Congratulations to Sydney Loos, Abby Pfanstiel and Mrs. Syers for guessing closest on the Valentine Candy Jar. Come to the Activities Office and pick up your prize.
*Come to Arapahoe Vocal Music's 6th Annual Valentine's Cabaret on Friday, February 17th. The event will feature the Arapahoe Vocal Music students showcasing their diverse talents in the program’s primary annual fundraising concert. Tickets are available now at: Arapahoe Cabaret Tickets
*Students! Now is the time to sign up for a locker partner for next year. You can find the locker partner request form on the AHS website under Registration 2023-2024. The deadline to sign up for a locker partner is February 24th.
*Earn high school graduation credit this Spring/Summer by taking driver education. Go to LPS Drivers Education to check out times and dates. Classes are filling up quickly, so register as soon as possible.
*There will be a FREE Alive @ 25 class Wednesday, March 1st at 3:45pm - 8:15pm in room W-1874. This is a 4 1/2 hour class. The Sheriff’s Office will pay the $79 fee if you are voluntarily taking the class. If you are 15 ½, you can get a driver's permit after taking the class. You can sign up on-line at www.aliveat25.us and use the password "arapahoe". A lot of insurance companies give you discounted rates if you have taken the class. Any questions ask Deputy Englert

*Calling all interested Girls Lacrosse players. There is a mandatory player and parent meeting this TONIGHT in the forum at 7:00pm. Come meet the coaching staff and hear about details of the upcoming season. Please register now through the AHSwarriors.org site before the meeting. You will need to have a current physical uploaded and booster fees paid before tryouts on February 27th.
*Our Boys Basketball tournament continues. Varsity will play at home TOMORROW at 7:00pm at home. The JV team will play against Overland, TONIGHT at 6:00pm at Grandview High School.
*Anyone interested in being a part of the 2023 Arapahoe Warrior Track and Field team should attend an informational meeting TOMORROW, February 16th at 3:40pm in Room W-1529. The meeting will be brief as we will discuss the upcoming spring season. If you are unable to attend, please see Coach Lienemann sometime before the end of the week. It’s very important to register ASAP. An uploaded current physical is required. Come and be a part of the Arapahoe track family.
*LPS Boys Volleyball Tryouts! The LPS Boys Volleyball team will be holding tryouts on February 20th-23rd from 6:00pm - 8:00pm in the Arapahoe High School Gym. Practices begin on February 27, rotating weekly through all 3 high schools. The LPS Boys Volleyball team is an all-LPS team so students from any of our high schools are eligible to try out as long as registration is complete through the AHSWarriors.org site. An uploaded current physical is required. Questions - please contact lpsboysvolleyball@gmail.com.
*Any girls interested in playing for ABK Soccer in the Spring need to register through the AHSWarriors.org site now. An uploaded current physical is required. Tryouts will start Monday, February 27th. No approved physical, no tryouts, no exceptions. Also, there will be a ‘New To ABK Girls Soccer’ online meeting Thursday, February 23rd at 6pm. Contact the booster club at abkgirlsbooster@gmail.com to get an invite. All registered freshmen will get an automatic invite. Spread the word.
