General Announcements

If you’re a guy about to turn 18, remember…you need to register with Selective Service. Just take 5 minutes and go to the Post Office or log onto www.sss.gov . If you have any questions, please see Mrs. Snyder in the Guidance Office. Registration—it’s quick. It’s easy. And it’s the law.

Business and marketing certificates of proficiency are now available in the business office, come by and pick them!

ATTENTION SENIORS: Those of you, who are High Honor students or Honor students, please stop by Mrs. Pramenko’s office to give her the correct pronunciation of your names for the Awards Convocation and Graduation.

Attention all sophomores and juniors: Please be aware that there is a missing class from the master schedule for next year. Independent Living is being offered second semester, 1st hour, on Tuesday and Thursday. This elective is an excellent class as you get closer to graduation as it prepares you to move out on your own. You will receive two practical arts credits for this class. In addition, don’t forget about our year long programs in interior design and fashion design. These project oriented classes are perfect for anyone interested in these two design career fields. Please be aware that you need to sign up for both semesters as they are year-long programs. If you have any questions please see Mrs. Rains in the Family and Consumer Sciences office.

ATTENTION ALL ARAPAHOE ARTISTS!!!! If you entered artwork in the "Art Attack", please come and pick up your artwork in the Art Dept.

Students – do you want to have a voice in actions and decisions made at Arapahoe? Before enjoying a relaxing summer, here’s an opportunity we hope you will consider. The Arapahoe School Accountability Committee is seeking 2 students to serve on this committee for next year. The committee meets once a month during the school year and is a valuable experience and opportunity for you to make a difference at Arapahoe. Please consider joining SAC! Applications are available on the Arapahoe Website or from Mrs. Minnotte in the Attendance Office. Application deadline is May 24th.

Seniors, please come to the main office to pick up your senior collage, also there are pictures from the after prom that can be picked up.
Attention all 2007-2008 Link Crew Leaders. Don’t forget, May Play Day is TODAY at 4:00 in the large gym. We look forward to seeing all of you there.
Like ice cream? Help support FBLA, buy Maggie Moos Ice Cream on Friday for $3. We will be outside on the Southside of the school available 10-12.

Athletics

All Physical Education Lockers must be cleaned out by the end of the day on Thursday, May 24th. Locks will cut and items left in lockers will be donated. Please see your PE teacher to get signed out of the PE locker rooms.

Attention all Girl Golfers! You must turn in your golf equipment on Thursday, May 17th after school. Meet Mrs. Abner in the main gym to turn in golf equipment.
Good luck to Leslie McGetrick and Sarah Moore as they prepare to compete in the Girls State Golf Tournament next week.

Today is the last day that the track coaches will be collecting uniforms. If you have not yet turned in your uniform you need to do so today after school in the cage area. We will be there from 2:30 – 3:00. Anyone not having turned in their track equipment by today will be issued a fine to the bookkeeper. Good luck to all of the track athletes that will be competing in this weekends state championship.

Attention all those planning to participate in Cross-Country next fall there is a short meeting immediately after school on Wed. May 16th in room S14.

Student Initiated Groups-

There will be a Gay Straight Alliance meeting this Thursday, May 17th, after school in W-101.
