General Announcements

Arapahoe will be holding its annual Winter Dance on January 26th from 7-10 pm in the cafeteria.

The theme this year is Royal Blizzard Ball. The attire is semi-formal, no jeans are allowed.

This dance is a Sadie Hawkins dance which means that the girls invite the boys. If you are a 10, 11, or 12th grader and you want to invite someone from another school, permission forms are in the guidance office.

Tickets will go on sale January 22nd.

Hey, People! Listen up. The Muse literary and art magazine has extended its deadline to January 18th. To submit poetry, essays, and stories go to the website on the AHS Homepage through Activities. Submit art to Mrs. Hitchens in the Art Department. You will be informed of your acceptance into the Muse on February 6th. Remember, SUBMIT!

Model UN will be having a short meeting after school today in room C-20 regarding the conference on February 2nd. Background guides will be passed out so if you can’t make it to the meeting, see Ms. DiSepio in her office.

Attention all DECA members who are planning on attending State – Don’t forget that your down payment is due FRIDAY! Also, there will be a meeting on Monday after school in S1 to talk about fundraising.

If you haven’t picked up your PSAT Test results yet, please pick them up in the Guidance Office this week!

Attention first semester PET students, please pick up your portfolio notebooks in Ms. Messer’s office on or before Friday.

Athletics

ATTENTION GIRLS’ SOCCER PLAYERS: The girls who signed up for practices at the Family Sports Dome will begin today at 3:00pm. If you need a ride, you can meet with the upper classmen at the north end of the cafeteria in order to carpool. For those of you who have not paid, you may do so by bringing a check to Mr. Bast in the Guidance Center.

Attention Girls Lacrosse Players! There will be an Informational Meeting tonight in the Forum beginning at 7:00 p.m. Information regarding the upcoming season will be discussed, additional clothing may be ordered, and all paperwork will be verified. We look forward to seeing you on Thursday evening.

The varsity boys basketball team will continue their winning streak this Friday at Douglas County High School at 7 p.m. We truly appreciate the support of our fans and look forward to your attendance and cheering!

Attention all Habitat for Humanity members! We have an important meeting Monday, January 14 in room C-18. We will be going over our next big project and future build dates. See you all Monday

There will be a meeting of the Gay-Straight Alliance after school today in room W-101. There will be snacks, a great time with friends, and a supportive, hate-free environment.

Young Republicans will be having a meeting today in C26 right after school.
