General Announcements

The PSAT/SAT Test Prep class starts today. There are two, two day classes offered, 3:00-5:30 or 6:30 to 9:00 p.m. Both classes will be in W201 & W202.

Hey Arapahoe, are you a wiz at Cad, Graphic Design, Architecture or building things? Do you love public speaking, digital photography, CO2 dragsters, building bridges, and friendly competitions? Then the TSA club is for you! Our first general membership meeting will be tomorrow after school in room E10. Come check out what this exciting national organization called "TSA" is all about! The state competition is in February this year, so let’s get an early jump on TSA! See Mr. McMullen for questions.

Seniors: The Boettcher Foundation is offering 5 presentations during October so you can learn about merit-based scholarships, including the Boettcher Scholarship Program. Boettcher Scholarships are full-ride merit scholarships for Colorado’s finest students. For more information on dates and times, check with your Post Grad Center or watch the lunch time screen in the cafeteria.

Each fall military recruiting officers request information from Littleton Public Schools for 11th and 12th grade students. If you do not want your information shared with the military, a military opt-out form needs to be completed by September 26, 2008. Please see Mrs. Oeinck in the Guidance Office for the opt-out form.

Do you know the “5 D’s of Dodgeball?” Hey it’s that time of year again…now it’s your chance to Dodge, Duck, Dip, and Dive with DECA DODGEBALL!!!! Registration packets for teams will be available on Wednesday the 17th in the Business Office. The fee is $5 per player and each team must include 10 players, 5 girls and 5 boys. Only 20 teams will be admitted, first come first serve!!! Don’t miss out!!!
Athletics

Congratulations to the Freshman Football Team for their exciting 21-20 win over Overland on Saturday. The Team rallied with 3 4th quarter touchdowns to secure the victory. The Freshman team record is now 2and1 with their next game here at AHS on Friday at 4:00 against Thunder Ridge. Come out and support these warriors.

The JV football team is now 3 and 0 after their 19 to 6 victory over Overland High School. This week the Warriors will face ThunderRidge High School. Good Luck!

Varsity Volleyball improved to 6 – 3 overall after a convincing win in three games against Arvada West on Friday night. Saturday, they earned a top five finish at the Eaglecrest Tournament. The Warriors won their second pool, losing only to top ranked Colorado Springs Christian. Congrats on a great day! Volleyball plays at Smoky Hill tomorrow at 6:30 and at home against Overland at 6:30 on Thursday. Come on out and support the team!

All girls interested in playing golf next spring for the Arapahoe girls’ golf team, there will be a short meeting after school on Wednesday, Sept 17 in room S-11. For more information see Coach Wilson in the math office.
