General Announcements
All of us want Arapahoe to be a safe, drug free campus. So please be aware that anytime during the school day the Arapahoe County Sheriff’s Office may have canines in the building and in our parking lots. These specially trained dogs are expert at drug detection. Thank you.

Happy Holiday Day! It's a terrific Tuesday to be a Homecoming Warrior! Just chill at lunch today with some ice-blocking and cheer on your class mates! Be sure to check out the talent of warriors at tonight's Homecoming Talent Show! Tomorrow's dress up day is the self-explanatory Wacky Tacky Wednesday. Dress your wackiest and tackiest! The DECA BBQ will be tomorrow during both lunches. For only $3.00 you will get your choice of a hamburger or hot dog, plus chips, soda and a cookie. Check out bulletin boards to stay updated on the week's awesomeness!

Spanish club will be meeting after school Wednesday September 24th at 2:30 in C-21. We will be taking member roll for the school year and planning our next club event. In order to participate in our fun Spanish club activities, you must be a club member. Sign up now so you don’t miss out! If you can’t make it, see Ms. DiSepio for more details. Viva espanol!

Hey freshmen! This Wednesday the 24th is the Homecoming t-shirt decorating party. Meet right after school in the cafeteria to decorate your homecoming t-shirts for the pep assembly on Friday. Decorating materials will be provided but you must bring your own shirt. Shirts can be bought during lunch or at the party. So come this Wednesday and show your school spirit. Snacks will be served.

FBLA’s annual scavenger hunt is on Wednesday in room S5 from 2:20 to 3:00. Grab two friends, a camera phone and get ready for the hunt.

Attention Seniors: If you wanted to get a senior class panoramic group picture, but missed the order deadline, information on late orders is available at: www.bigclasspicture.com.

It’s homecoming week and the Toms have spirit! We are selling "spirit pops" in the cafeteria everyday during lunch. Each of these gourmet lollipops has an Arapahoe team spirit message and they're a steal at one for 75 cents or 2 for a dollar. Come support the Toms and get your spirit!

Juniors and seniors are invited to sign up for the ASVAB (Armed Services Vocational Aptitude Battery). This test is an excellent vehicle for exploring your interests and career options. All students seeking a military academy nomination from Tom Tancredo’s office (6th District of Colorado) MUST complete the ASVAB. AHS will be offering the ASVAB on Thursday, October 2, at 2:45pm in N2/N3. Please see Mrs. Oeinck in Guidance to sign up.

Athletics

Football tickets for the Homecoming game against Cherry Creek will go on sale in the cafeteria from Wednesday, September 24th thru Friday, September 26th from 10:30 am to 12:15 pm. Arapahoe student SBA cards will be accepted at the game. Ticket prices are $5 for adults and $3 for senior citizens and students grades K-12.
