Hey FBLA Members! Shirts are in! please pick them up from Mrs. Swank in the Business Office We also have a meeting coming up next Wednesday, January 13th to discuss districts and testing and take a group picture.
Do you want to learn how to play jazz? How about read a lead sheet? Perhaps even learn how to solo/improvise? Do you play a rhythm instrument or a wind instrument? Every Tuesday and Thursday morning during first hour the Jazz II class meets in the band room (E14). If you would like to join this creative class, please see Mr. Hackett this week.
Good news TSA… there is still time to get your State TSA Conference paperwork & money in! The deadline is today! If you wanted to attend the State conference but didn’t get your stuff in before break, here’s your chance. The next TSA meeting will be Monday after school. It is important that all members attending the State conference be at this meeting, as we will finalize Registration, Competitions and Housing.
Hey Everyone! If you are a writer or artist of any kind, this is your last chance to submit your art to the Muse by January 15th. You heard that right! The Muse magazine is extending its deadline for two weeks only. Submit art, poetry and fiction or non-fiction. Go to Muse under the Activities page for directions on how to submit. If you didn’t have time at the end of fall semester to submit something, now’s your chance to git r done!
Just a reminder to all the students that checked out books from the library before winter break, most of those books are due back. Avoid those book fines; get your books back to the library! Thanks.
Attention Students – Final first semester grades have been posted. First Semester Grade reports will be distributed in your 3rd hour class today. Students who do not have a 3rd hour class may pick up reports in the Guidance Center.
Winter Dance “A Night of Lights” will be on Saturday, January 23rd, in the Cafeteria. You may pick up dance forms in the Attendance Office or in the Main Office.
Athletics
Congratulations to the Freshman Boys Basketball team for their hard fought victory yesterday against Overland High School 38-37. It was a great Defensive effort by the entire team. The team’s current record is 6 and 2 with their next game tomorrow morning at 10:00 at Grandview. Come out and support your Warriors!
All Special Olympic basketball partners need to stop by S6 and pick up their game assignments by today.
We would like all girls playing lacrosse this spring to meet in the Study Center right after school today to pick up team shirts.
Attention girls interested in playing lacrosse this spring: optional pre-season workouts will begin on Tuesday, January 12th at 6:00 AM in the main gym. They will be held at 6:00 on Tuesday and Friday mornings through February 19th. Bring your stick, running shoes and water to each workout. Please email Coach Woodward or see Coach Levi in the Social Studies office if you have any questions.
