Congratulations to the DECA students who competed at the State conference in Colorado Springs! We had a very successful trip, finishing with 11 finalists and one student, Keri Neujahr, qualified for Nationals!

“Congratulations to all TSA Members who competed at the State TSA conference Friday & Saturday. Their strong performances gave Arapahoe a 3rd place overall finish in the State. TSA Team members grabbed:
6 – 1st place finishes: Chapter Team, Chapter Team Individual, Dragster Design, Electronic Research & Experimentation, Music Production, and Project Showcase.
5 – 2nd place finishes: Construction Systems, Debating Technical Issues, Fashion Design, T-Shirt Design, and Tech Bowl.
4 – 3rd place finishes: Career Comparisons, Creativity Challenge, Extemporaneous Speech, and On-Demand Video.
All of you did a fantastic job and Arapahoe High is proud of you!! Special Congratulations goes to junior Emily Haskins who was elected to the”State Officer Team” as Sgt at Arms.

Warriors come out and support the Special Olympic basketball team tonight as they go up against Lakewood High School. The game starts at 7:00 p.m. in the AHS main gym. Tonight we will be honoring our senior partners and players during half-time.
Congratulations to Coach Korn and the girls’ Junior Varsity basketball team. They had 18 wins and 1 loss this season and were undefeated in Centennial League!! Great job girls!
This message is for anyone interested in participating in the great sport of Track & Field this spring. There will be an informational meeting in room W-201 today after school at 2:30. If you have already registered please wear work out attire because we will practice after the meeting. If you have not yet registered we will have the paperwork available for you. The Warriors take on Grandview in their final regular season game tonight in Sitting Eagle Gymnasium. Varsity tips off at 7 pm and JV at 5:15 pm. Come out and support your Warriors!!!!
Today is the last day to register for Spring Sports! Do not delay or it will hinder your participation in tryouts beginning Monday, February 22nd! The Arapahoe girls swimming and diving team placed 6th at the State HS Championship meet on Saturday. Leading the way for the Warriors was Beth Ambrozic who placed 2nd in diving. Dani Howe placed 12th. Congratulations to our Arapahoe Varsity Cheers! The team traveled to Orlando, Florida this past weekend to compete in the 2010 National High School Cheerleading Championships. The team performed two amazing routines in prelims and semifinals of the Large Varsity Division I group. Arapahoe finished 13th in the nation in the competition! Way to go Warriors! The Arapahoe girls swimming and diving team placed 6th at the State HS Championship meet on Saturday. Leading the way for the Warriors was Beth Ambrozic who placed 2nd in diving. FBLA was very successful in our district competition! We had 64 out of 78 members place in the top ten of their events. 24 qualified for state with 10 placing as alternates. Great job FBLA!!

The Arapahoe girls swimming and diving team placed 2nd at the Centennial League Championship meet Saturday. Leading the way for the Warriors were League champions Bridget Louis in the 500 freestyle and Beth Ambrozic in diving. New state qualifiers include: Liz Smith, Sarah Wilson, Ellen Johnston, Alyssa Countway and Hillary Redmond. Congratulations swimmers and divers

“TSA…IS ONLY 2 WEEKS AWAY. The next TSA meeting is this Monday, Feb 8 after school in E10. It will be a brief business meeting followed by open lab work time to get those AWESOME competitive event projects completed. All members attending State should attend! See Mr. McMullen for questions.”
“The Buff Buckaroo” will be riding into Arapahoe’s theatre this Friday and Saturday. Don’t miss it! Tickets are on sale during lunch all this week.
Thanks to all of the wonderful volunteers who signed up to give blood at next Wednesday’s NHS blood drive. All of our slots were filled during our first day of sign-ups, which says a great deal about the caring type of students we have here at Arapahoe. If you signed up to give blood, a permission form should be delivered to you sometime during the school day today. Be sure to complete the form with your parent’s signature, even if you are 18 years old, and to bring the form with you when you arrive to donate at your allotted time next Wednesday. If you have any questions, talk to Mr. Smith in the science office or Ms. Leclaire in the Language Arts office. Thanks again!

The boxes allow the opportunity to provide ANONYMOUS information about any illegal or detrimental activity in the Arapahoe community. The boxes are in the Attendance office, DECA Store, Counseling Office, and the Library. See a campus supervisor or your favorite Administrator for more information.
