General Announcements

FBLA was very successful in our district competition! We had 64 out of 78 members place in the top ten of their events. 24 qualified for state with 10 placing as alternates. Great job FBLA!!

Did you know Mr. Kleeman does amazing bird calls? That the social studies department is made up of an incredible acting troupe? That Ms. Parmenter can sing in Italian? And you have the opportunity to watch these incredible acts in the AHS Teacher Talent Show! Come at 7:00pm on Wednesday, Februrary 10th to watch an amazing presentation of the secret talents of Arapahoe teachers. Tickets are $5 and will be available at both lunches and at the door. Don’t miss out!

If you signed up to donate blood this Wednesday at the NHS blood drive, don’t forget to complete the permission form that was delivered to you last week. Remember that the form requires your parent’s signature, even if you are 18 years old. Please bring the form with you on Wednesday when you arrive to donate in the athletic training room by the main athletic entrance at your allotted time. If you have any questions, talk to Mr. Smith in the science office or Ms. Leclaire in the Language Arts office. Thanks so much for being willing to donate!

Attention sophomores and juniors. Did you know that you can take college courses that can count as both high school and college credit? If you are interested, please attend an informational meeting regarding the Post Secondary Enrollment Options Program today in the Forum during your lunch period. A representative of the PSEO program will provide information on how to take part in this exciting program. See you there. If you have questions, please see Mrs. Boyce in the Guidance Office.

***ATTENTION WARRIORS***
Valentine’s Day is quickly approaching and the sophomore and freshmen class will be selling cookies for this special day during both lunches in the cafeteria today till Thursday. The cost for these fabulous cookies will be $1.50. This is a fundraiser for prom warriors, so please contribute and buy a cookie for that someone special!!!

Athletics
"Congratulations, Toms, for your success at the National Dance Team Championships! Over 300 teams competed before an audience of 10,000 spectators, and in the varsity pom division, the Toms won 14th place in the nation! Their jazz routine also made it to semifinals. Toms, we are proud of you!"

Attention all baseball players. There will be a mandatory meeting for players and parents tonight at 7pm in the forum. If you are planning on trying out for baseball you need to attend this meeting with at least one parent. Thanks.

Spring Sports registration will take place next week. Boys & Girls Track on Tuesday, February 16th, Baseball and Boys Swim & Dive on Wednesday, February 17th and Girls Tennis, Soccer and Golf on Thursday, February 18th. All registration will take place in Classroom S4 beginning at 2:30 pm each day. Required paperwork can be picked up in the Athletic Office during the school day. Please make sure paperwork has been completed before you come to registration.

All girls interested in trying out for golf, there will be a mandatory meeting, Thursday, Feb 11 from 6:00-7:30 in the forum. At least one parent should also attend. If you have any questions, see Coach Wilson or Coach Abner.
