Congratulations to the girls basketball team for another outstanding League win on Friday night over Cherokee Trail 44-25. The win was highlighted with tremendous "Team" Defense and Amanda Martinez's 14 points, which was a game high. Your Lady Warriors are currently 2nd in the Centennial League at 8 and 1 and a 12 and 5 overall record. The Lady Warriors are on the road this Wednesday at Smoky Hill and on Friday at Grandview. Come out and support your Lady Warriors Basketball team.

The Lady Warriors were lead in scoring by Amanda Martinez with 25 points and Alex Buechler with 16. The win pushes the team's league record to 5 and 1 and their season record to 10 and 5. Great job Lady Warriors. The lady hoopsters are back in action Wednesday night at Eaglecrest. Come out and support your Lady Warrior basketball team.
Congrats to the Freshman Girls' Basketball team. They played a total team game to beat Overland's Freshman team 55 to 22. Everyone played well and they all continue to improve. Keep up the great work Lady Warriors.

Arapahoe will be counting down to the "Big Day" starting today with all interested students registering for the "Bronco Tebow Challenge" during 1st and 2nd Lunch. Make sure to see Mr. Kolasa or Mr. Sisler to get a ticket to register for competing in the Challenge which will take place on Friday, January 13th during both lunches. Go Broncos!

Congratulations to the Varsity Girls Basketball team for their win this weekend over Smoky Hill 58-13. The victory included outstanding team defense while Karlyn Johnson was the leading scorer for your warriors with 14 points. The win pushes the team record to 7-4 overall and 2-0 in league. Your lady warriors have a game Wednesday evening here at AHS against Grandview, JV at 5:30, Varsity at 7:00. Come out and support your Lady Warriors!

Well, this is your chance...The Muse is opening a small window of time for all students who didn't get their writing or artwork to us in the fall semester to submit it now. Yes, you still have a chance, but it's absolutely your last chance to get your work published in the premier arts magazine in Colorado. But you'll have to act fast: our deadline--and I mean deadline--is Friday the 13th! Get it done, people, before the 13th. Simply go to the Arapahoe Home page and look under Activities for the Muse web page, where you'll find the directions on how to submit.

Congratulations to the varsity girls basketball team for their league opening win over Cherokee Trail last night 57-40. The win was accented with strong rebounding led by Savannah Nelson, balanced scoring led by Alex Buechler and Amanda Martinez and solid team defense. Your Lady Warriors are back in action Saturday afternoon here at AHS at 1:00 PM against Smoky Hill. Come out and support your Lady Warriors.
The girls Varsity swimmers have a meet at Heritage this afternoon at 4:00 and the girls JV swimmers have a meet at Eaglecrest at 4:30. Good luck Warriors!

Juniors and seniors: Student ambassadors from Yale University and Mount Holyoke will be visiting within the next week to answer your questions and share information about their colleges. Check the college visit schedule on Naviance and sign up.
Prom is on its way and the Junior Class is looking for some interesting and creative ideas for a ticket design. An informational flyer is available in the social studies office and designs are due this Friday. Please check with the Junior Class officers if you have any questions.
