General Announcements

Happy Wacky Tacky Wednesday!  Tomorrow is Decade Day, so dress in the clothes of your favorite decade! Tomorrow during both lunches, student council will put on some wacky minute-to-win-it activities in the cafeteria!  And don’t forget, tonight is the bonfire on the baseball field at 7 p.m.  Make sure you come to this annual event – it’s gonna be hot!  And the Arapahoe Homecoming Dance is Saturday in the main gym from     8-11 p.m.  Tickets are on sale for $10 during both lunches or $15 at the door! Don’t forget, dress is semi-formal. You can also stop by and get a Homecoming t-shirt for only $5. Saturday is also the Homecoming Parade at 10 a.m. in the West Lot.  You can check out all the different Road Trip Across America-themed floats and watch the band and color guard perform!   See you there!

Freshman and Link Leaders:  Don't forget to stop by our t-shirt decorating party today after school in the cafeteria at 2:30. Homecoming t-shirts will be available for purchase or you can bring your own shirt. Paint will be provided. So stop by and get ready to be creative!

TODAY is the day!!  The DECA Homecoming BBQ is finally here!  Come join us on the South Patio during both lunches.  You'll get to hang out with your friends and eat a super yummy lunch for only $3!

Good morning Warriors . . . lunch in the cafe today is: cheeseburgers, cold sandwiches, salads, tater tots, fruit, baked beans, fresh veggies or side salad, and milk.   We also have Black Jack pizza, frozen yogurt, fresh fruit cups, and other cold items as well.  Enjoy your day Warriors!!

Pepperdine University will have a representative on our campus tomorrow.  If you're interested in attending the visit sign up through Naviance or stop by the Post Grad Center for more information.

Senior Information Packets are available in the Main office and Guidance office. Custom announcement and accessory information will be included. Please stop by promptly and pick up your packet.

Hey ladies! The wild warrior women outfits for this year have been delivered! You can pick them up after school today or tomorrow at Liz Brown's house. See her or any sponsor for an address!

Are you interested in being a part of the You Matter Club?  If so, join us for our first club meeting tomorrow at 2:30 in the Guidance Office Conference Room.  See Mrs. Talen or Dr. Song if you have any questions.  We look forward to seeing you there!

Mark your calendars and get moving for October 28th. The Stride 5k and 10k run takes place on Sunday, October 28th at Ketring Park in Littleton. This is a family fun fitness event to help support the Littleton Public Schools Foundation and Arapahoe High School. Register early to save $5.00 on registration fees. Register online at www.runthestride.com by Friday, Sept. 21st. 

Hello Warriors! The Denver Komen Race for the Cure is Sunday, October 7, 2012! Arapahoe is defending our title of the largest high school team registered!  Join our team, and be a part of this amazing event. You can register by simply going to the Arapahoe High School home page and you'll find directions there.  Our Arapahoe Cheers and Toms will be at the start line to cheer on all participants. If you would like, you can walk with the AHS team as we show the world what it means to be a WARRIOR.   We race as Warriors to honor those who have survived breast cancer, those who are fighting it, those who have lost the fight, and for the hope of a cure. Let’s go Warriors!!!

Athletics

Girls volleyball competed last night at Smoky Hill and swept all four levels.  Their next home game is tomorrow night against Mullen.  Come out and help them win their Homecoming Game!

The AHS Boys tennis team is playing an away match at Smoky Hill after school today.  JV plays Eaglecrest tomorrow at Powell Middle School.  If you have any old tennis racquets collecting dust at your house, bring them to the Arapahoe courts tomorrow after school as you cheer on the varsity match against Eaglecrest. The team is donating them to racquets for All.  

After the Football Game on Friday Night, there will be a 5th Quarter Party at Qdoba in South Glenn for all Araphoe Football Players, Students and Fans. Go Warriors
