General Announcements

HAAAAAPPY Spirit Day warriors!  Tonight is the Varsity football game vs. Mountain Vista at LPS Stadium at 7 p.m.  Let’s support our boys as they battle for victory!  And of course, the Arapahoe Homecoming Dance is TOMORROW in the main gym from 8-11 p.m.  Today is the last day to buy tickets for $10 during both lunches, or you can buy them for $15 at the door tomorrow night!  Don’t forget, dress is semi-formal.  Students in denim will not be allowed in.  Also, make sure to bring your student ID.  Tomorrow is also the Homecoming Parade at 10 a.m in the West Lot.  You can check out all the different Road Trip Across America-themed floats and watch the band and color guard perform!   See you there!

Wild Warrior Women, please help us clean up the homecoming decorations today after school. We are expected to clean up the decorations we put out. Meet in the cafeteria at 2:30. We are expected to clean up the decorations we put out.

Listen up Arapahoe football fans! If you can't make it to the homecoming game on Friday or know out-of-town fans who don't want to miss one minute of on-the-field action, search Arapahoe football on www.ustream.tv. The AHS Sports Broadcasting Club will provide live video coverage of the game accompanied by play-by-play and in-depth analysis from kickoff to finish. Attention cast and crew of It's A Wonderful Life, rehearsal and tech call has been cancelled for this afternoon and rescheduled for next Friday.  Have a good weekend!

Mark your calendars and get moving for October 28th. The Stride 5k and 10k run takes place on Sunday, October 28th at Ketring Park in Littleton. This is a family fun fitness event to help support the Littleton Public Schools Foundation and Arapahoe High School. Register early to save $5.00 on registration fees. Register online at www.runthestride.com by Friday, Sept. 21st. 

Hello Warriors! The Denver Komen Race for the Cure is Sunday, October 7, 2012! Arapahoe is defending our title of the largest high school team registered!  Join our team, and be a part of this amazing event. You can register by simply going to the Arapahoe High School home page and you'll find directions there.  Our Arapahoe Cheers and Toms will be at the start line to cheer on all participants. If you would like, you can walk with the AHS team as we show the world what it means to be a WARRIOR.   We race as Warriors to honor those who have survived breast cancer, those who are fighting it, those who have lost the fight, and for the hope of a cure. Let’s go Warriors!!!

Athletics

Congrats to the boys Varsity soccer team who defeated Grandview 2 - 1 last night.

Congratulations to our Varsity Golf Team at Regionals. Low scores went to Sam Marley with a 72, Kyle Taylor with a a 73 and Justin Goldsberry with a 74. All three of these gentlemen qualified for the state golf tournament in October. Great job Warrior Golfers!
 
After the Football Game on Friday Night, there will be a 5th Quarter Party at Qdoba in South Glenn for all Araphoe Football Players, Students and Fans. Go Warriors
