YOU BETTER WATCH OUT, YOU BETTER NOT CRY, YOU
BETTER NOT POUT, I’M TELLING YOU WHY…SANTA CLAUS IS COMING TO
TOWN. Yes…Santa is coming to bring a new toy for each boy and girl
at Colfax Elementary and the Denver Indian Center. The day after
Thanksgiving is the biggest shopping day of the year. Think about
shopping for a boy or girl at Colfax Elementary. Our goal
is 1,000 NEW toys. Shop the sales for the best
buys. Bring your toys to the Attendance Office after the
Thanksgiving break. Let’s make it a great holiday for the kids!

Have you taken Business Technology 1 yet? If not, this announcement is VERY
IMPORTANT for you! The
business department is offering the Business Technology 1 Proficiency Exam today
from 2:30-3:00 in Room S2. If
you are a strong typist and can pass this exam you can enroll directly in
Advanced Business Technology 2 for your graduation requirement. Stop by the Business Department if you
have any questions.
Warriors, you do not want to miss the You
Matter Club meeting today after school in the guidance center. We will
start at 2:30 on the nose! Come join the fun.
Don’t waste your time Friday night watching
reruns of Dancing with the Stars; the real stars will be out on the football
field taking on Valor in the playoffs! Catch all the action live on
UStream.tv by searching, “Arapahoe Football”, or by following the link on the
school’s webpage.
Good morning, warriors! Are you hungry?
How would you like a big fat burrito from Chipotle, with chips and
guacamole on the side? Well, now's your chance--submit art, poetry,
stories or essays to the Muse this
week and you will be entered
in a drawing for a $10 Chipotle gift card. Yes, we're offering it again,
during our deadline week! To submit to the Muse, simply go to our web
page, located under "Activities" on the Home page, and you will find
directions for how to submit your creative work. This is your last chance
for $10 worth of Chipotle, so get out those poems & stories you've been
sitting on and get them into the Muse for publication! But remember, you
must submit your work by Friday!

help remove any locker tags from your lockers that are for past or non current
events by the end of the week. Thank you!
Athletics
Arapahoe Fans, the Football Team will be playing in
the state quarterfinals, Friday at 7 p.m. at Valor. The game will be a Black
Out, so dress in Arapahoe Black. The team really appreciates all
your support this year and needs you at the game this Friday. Let's fill up
Valor's stadium in black! Go Warriors!
Tickets
for the football game will go on sale today and Friday in the Cafeteria from
10:30 am -12:10 pm. Ticket prices will be $7 for adults, $5 for seniors, High
School students and children 4 and over. Children under 4 are free.
Gates will open at 6:00 pm. Only CHSCA and CHSAA passes will be accepted at the
gates.
The north
fields on the Arapahoe High School campus are closed due to an irrigation
project. These fields will be closed through February 18, 2013.
During this time, students who walk to and from the apartments located to
the north of AHS, will be required to use the sidewalks on University and Franklin
for accessing the school. The school district will be putting temporary fencing
around the project on campus. For safety reasons, please adhere to the
posted signs.
