Today, in
honor of Veteran’s Day, I (Jerry McWilliams) will be sharing a brief story
about Iwo Jima (Jerry will read script). (Student

of story…)Please come to the Forum on Monday during any unscheduled hours
to hear some Veterans share their stories.
Students …
Please take a survey about safety and security being conducted by the newspaper
and the yearbook staffs. Look for the
link on the AHS homepage, or check your LPS email account. The survey will
remain open until Sunday, Nov. 10. Thank you for your input.
This year's fall play It's A Wonderful Life opens
tonight. Tickets are going fast! You can still buy tickets at
lunch. $5.00 for students, $7.00 for adults, senior citizens are free.
Or you can go online to www.seatyourself.biz and
search for Arapahoe. The show dates are this Thursday, Friday and
Saturday with all shows at 7:00 p.m. Also, check out our trailer on
YouTube.
The canned food drive for Food Bank of the
Rockies is going on through the end of this week, and student council has some
fun lunchtime activities for you. Today and Friday we will have a raffle during
both lunches. Bring two cans with you to lunch to get a raffle ticket. We will
be drawing a winner at the end of lunch for a gift card to the DECA store. Keep
bringing those cans to the barrels all around school, and thanks for your help
in supporting those in need.
The Warrior Band would like to invite you to the
Southglenn Noodles & Company TONIGHT from 5:00
to 8:00 p.m. to hear some
live music and eat some good food!!! The band will be performing at
approximately 5:30 p.m., weather permitting.
Noodles and Company will be donating 15% of all sales between
5:00 - 8:00 p.m. to the Arapahoe Band and Color Guard programs!!! All you
have to do is mention that you are supporting the Arapahoe Marching Band
and Color Guard...it is that easy!!! Thank
you for all of your support throughout the year and we look forward to seeing
you tonight!!!
Athletics
Arapahoe
has advanced in the 5A football playoffs and will travel on Friday, November
9th to take on Horizon at North Stadium with a 7:00 p.m. kickoff. Ticket prices will be $5 for students and $7
for adults. Go Warriors!
Hey
Warriors ~ there will be a "spirit" bus headed to the football game
on Friday at North Stadium. Bus tickets will be sold for $3 during lunch
on Wednesday and Thursday only. This bus will take students from Arapahoe to
the game and return all students to AHS after the game is over. Let's pack the
stadium with Warrior Spirit and cheer our team on to another victory! Go
Warriors!
Winter
Sports Registration wraps up this week. Paperwork can be turned in from
2:00-2:30 p.m. in the Cafeteria. First day of official practice will be
on Friday so get your paperwork turned in today!
Heritage Hockey
CHSAA Varsity tryouts are coming up Nov. 9-10! All LPS high school ice hockey players are welcome to try
