General Announcements

National Honor Society has its first meeting of the new year today after school in the Forum.  So if you're a member of NHS, please join us for a short but important meeting at 2:25 in the Forum.

There will be a mandatory TSA meeting today in Room E6 for all TSA members planning on attending the state TSA Conference.  

A reminder to all FBLA members, it is time to do your district testing!  Testing must be completed by tomorrow.  Please come to room S2 or S3 after school to take your test or see Mrs. Swank or Mr. Sawyer to confirm an alternative testing time.  

It's Bear Hug Week! Help Link Crew raise money for Sandy Hook Elementary School. Make a donation during lunch and write an encouraging note on a Valentine to send to the children at Sandy Hook.

Hey Warriors are you ready to be a part of something new? This year we will be having a new clothing drive called Sox Drive from January 28th – February 8th. Please bring in any mid condition jackets, gloves, shirts, pants, shoes, or some new socks. Only you can help prevent homeless young adults and children from freezing this winter.

Winter Dance Guest Forms are due Tuesday, January 22nd. Only Sophomores, Juniors and Seniors may bring a guest from another school to the dance.  Please bring your completed form to the Attendance Office and make sure you have a copy of your guest's ID attached to the form.

Free Alive @ 25 class for AHS students Tuesday January 22th, 3pm-7:30pm. The class is normally $39. To sign up go to the alive @ 25 website or there's a link on the schools website or talk to Deputy Englert.

Athletics

Congratulations to the Varsity Girls Basketball Team for their win last Friday night against Smoky Hill 50-33. The win moved the top ranked Lady Warriors record to 11-0. Your Lady Warriors are back in action tonight at Eaglecrest - JV at 5:30, Varsity at 7:00. The team will play back here at AHS on Friday night against Overland. Come out and support your Lady Warriors Basketball Team.  Also, congratulations to Senior Hoopster Karlyn Johnson for being selected the Denver Post Student Athlete of the Week, published in last Sunday's Denver Post.

Attention any girl wishing to play girls soccer this spring.  We will have a brief meeting today at 2:30 p.m. in Room N5.  Attendance is mandatory if you are not in a winter sport.  See you there.
