General Announcements

Congratulations, Warriors! You raised $12,779 for this year's Warrior Week. We appreciate your participation and generosity. Way to go Warriors!

Students interested in running for a student council office for the 2014-2015 school year should plan to attend an intent-to-run meeting TODAY in the forum at 2:30 pm.  Please contact a student council officer, Mrs. Lee in the Language Arts' Department or Mr. Brandberg in the World Languages Department with any questions.  Applications can also be accessed on the Student Council webpage.

Don’t forget to join the Art Club today right after school in E4 to learn how to make a ceramic bowl. All levels of experience are welcome and this is your last chance to make a bowl for our fundraiser event. We will be hosting one more open studio next Tuesday after school to glaze all of our bowls. Hope to see you there.

Members of National Honor Society, our monthly meeting is happening after school tomorrow in the Forum.  So please join us in the Forum at 2:25 tomorrow for a quick update on what's happening in the world of NHS!

FBLA will be hosting Arapahoe's first annual Blacklight Volleyball Tournament tomorrow at 6:00 pm in the Main and Auxiliary gymnasiums.  Come cheer on your classmates as they compete to win the title!

Last call to all Arapahoe Artists . . . The 10th Annual Art Attack is underway.  This is the last week to submit any art for the show so don't wait.  You can pick up your submission forms in the art office and work must be turned in BY THIS FRIDAY, April 4.  If you have any questions, please see Mrs. Hawthorne, Ms. King, Mrs. Svigel, or Mrs. Davidson in the art department. 

Hey Warriors - remember that quiet study rooms are available today, periods 3 through 6

Hey Warriors!  It’s that time of the year again, time to get ready for Prom!  Let’s kick things off by nominating our prom royalty this week!  Juniors and seniors, get on the school webpage and nominate your favorites from now until April 4th.  Voting will take place next Thursday, April 10.

If you would like to audition for the prom talent show to be held on April 24th, auditions are taking place on April 8th from 2:30-3:30 pm and April 9th from 5:00 to 7:00 pm. You need to sign up for a time slot at the front desk in the Main Office before 3 pm on Monday, April 7th in order to audition. Don't miss out on this great opportunity to showcase your talent!

Attention:  The Arapahoe Guidance Department will be hosting an event for students and faculty during both lunches in the Arapahoe theater this Thursday, April 3rd.  Crystal Miller was a junior at Columbine during the shooting fifteen years ago. She will share her story of recovery from being in the building that day.  Please bring your lunch and join us as Crystal gives us some guidance on recovering from December 13th.

Attention sophomores and juniors, if you applied for LINK Crew, leaders for next year will be announced on Friday, April 11th.  This is an adjustment to the original date.  Thank you.


Athletics

This afternoon both of the AHS girls' lacrosse teams are hosting home games against Kent.  The JV team will play at 4:30 pm at Newton Middle School.  The Varsity team’s game will be at 7:00 pm at LPS Stadium under the lights.  Please come out and support the Warriors as they pursue their victories over the Sun Devils.  

Come cheer on your sophomore baseball team as they play Mullen High School today at 4:30 at Mullen and Saturday, April 5 at 11:00 at home.  Have some lunch while watching the game with us on Saturday.  The Snack Shack now offers Italian sausage sandwiches along with hamburgers, hot dogs, and brats!

Come to the AHS pool this afternoon and cheer on your Boys Swimming and Diving team as they take on Regis at 4:30 today!
