General Announcements

Attention Warriors: Tomorrow, October 20th will be our first Advisement class. Please look at your schedule in Infinite Campus to find out where your room is and who your Advisement Teacher is.  If you have any questions, you can talk to any Arapahoe teacher or administrator. Advisement class will offer an opportunity for teachers and students to get to know each other, outside of the traditional academic environment.  The advisement class will continue throughout all four years of high school.  The Advisement period has been added to your schedules in Infinite Campus.   

Reminder: The Alive at 25 class is today at 2:30 in room W101. If you signed up for the class please show up. For any questions see Deputy Englert

A: The fall play, Inherit the Wind. It's this Thursday, Friday, and Saturday at 7:00.
B: How can I get tickets?
A: You can buy them at lunch! It's $5.00 for students and $7.00 for adults.

Attention All Juniors And Seniors: The 2016 trip to Washington D.C. is here again!  This trip is an amazing opportunity to experience Washington D.C. and Capitol Hill first hand. There will be a parent meeting for those interested this Wednesday at 6 PM in the Room E-9.  Please feel free to join your parent, and if you are unable to attend the meeting, please see Mr. Hawthorne or Mr. Meyer in the Social Studies department.

Great News Student Warriors!! This week is National School Lunch Week.  In observance of this special week, every time you purchase one breakfast meal and one lunch meal per day, your name will be entered in a raffle to possibly win a prize.    One Grand Prize will be awarded:  A Portable Bluetooth Speaker, and two Runner-Up Prizes: iTunes Gift Cards. Winners will be announced the following week.  See you at Lunch!!

Juniors and Seniors:  Anyone interested in taking a Concurrent Enrollment class next semester at Arapahoe Community College should plan on attending a meeting this Wednesday during both lunches in the Forum. This is another great opportunity to earn both high school and college credit. Please see your counselor for more information.

Lost and Found: Students, please check the table in the cafeteria for clothing items and the Attendance Office for smaller items. All items will be donated at the end of the week.​



Athletics

Hey Warriors!  Winter sports registration is now open.  Pink Cards will be distributed in the cafeteria during lunches on WEDNESDAYS.  Please remember that you must have a current physical on file with the athletic office and be registered online before you can receive your pink card.

Congratulations to the Warrior Volleyball Program on their sweep of Smoky Hill...all levels beat the Buffaloes! We have two big matches this week at Cherry Creek on Tuesday, and Cherokee Trail at home on Thursday! We would love the support! The Freshman Volleyball team won the Grandview Tournament...for the 4th year in a row! GO WARRIORS! Any boys interested in playing volleyball in the spring need to sign up in Coach Wright's office in the Copy Room.

Congratulations to the varsity football team with their win over Grand Junction 17-14, the JV football team with their win over Grand Junction 35-0 and the Freshman with their win over Mountain Vista 28-20.  Way to go Warriors!

Congratulations to the boys and girls cross country teams for their great running last Thursday at the Centennial League Championships! Girls varsity finished 4th and boys varsity finished first. Ali Marizza and Kelly Waugh earned First Team All-League Honors, and Nick Maddalone and Kyle Kennedy earned Second Team All-League Honors. Mason Brevig and overall boys champion Steven Goldy earned First Team All-League Honors. Good luck at Regionals this Friday!

Attention all students planning on joining the Boys and Girls Swimming and Diving Teams. The Arapahoe High School Swimming and Diving Clinic begins today after school.  Please stop by Mr. Richmond's office in the pool area to pick up a registration form.
