Cost for PSAT is $18.  Registration is from now until Oct. 13th.   PSAT test will be happening Wednesday morning, Oct. 19th.  We are encouraging every junior to take this test.  The PSAT is the only exam to qualify a student for National Merit Scholar Status, when taken during junior year.

Attention seniors:  The Daniels Fund Scholarship application is now open.  Are you a senior who demonstrates strength of character, leadership potential, community service, academic promise, and a well-rounded personality?  The Daniels Scholarship is a “last dollar” scholarship that will pay toward the remaining costs of a scholar’s education after all other grants and scholarships are applied. The scholarship is only awarded to students from our four-state area There is a need-based component to qualify. Stop by the Guidance office and see Mrs. Kostra for more information.

ATTENTION ALL JUNIORS AND SENIORS: The 2017 trip to Washington D.C. is here again!  This trip is an amazing opportunity to experience Washington D.C. and Capitol Hill first hand.  This year will be especially exciting and relevant because we will have a new President and many changes in Congress.  There will be a parent/guardian meeting for those interested in this trip today at 6 PM in Room W-2882.  Please feel free to join your parent or guardian, and if you are unable to attend the meeting, please see Mr. Hawthorne or Mrs. Winn in the Social Studies department.

Come to Dairy Queen in Southglenn today between 5 and 8pm to help support the Choirs and Orchestra. Every sale helps us out, so bring the family, bring your friends, bring your dog and your sweet tooth, see you at the DQ !

On Thursday, the Post Grad Center will host Cornell College, which is one of three colleges in the country that offers a one class at a time approach to education.  Log in to Naviance to sign up for this visit.

Juniors and Seniors:  Anyone interested in taking a Concurrent Enrollment class next semester at Arapahoe Community College should plan on attending a meeting this Friday, October 14th in the forum. This will take place during both lunches, so feel free to bring your lunch.  Applications will be available at that time and the deadline to register will be at the end of October. This is another great opportunity to earn both high school and college credit. Please see your counselor for more information.

Warriors, October is Safe Schools Month!  Stop by the tables in front of the counseling office in the cafeteria during both lunches to contribute to our gratitude chain and to pick up resources for keeping yourself and others safe. We hope to see you there!
