Friday is the last day, don't forget!

Boys basketball - All Seniors and Juniors wanting to tryout for basketball, Preseason camp starts today at 2:30 in the Aux Gym.  Freshman and Sophomore camp starts Monday 11/6 at 5:30.  Make sure you register on the Arapahoe Athletic Webpage by today -  See Coach Jansen if you have any questions.

Congratulations to the girls and boys cross country teams for some excellent running on Saturday in the State Meet. The girls team was led by top finisher Morgan Conn and the boys team was led by top finisher Griffin Hampton. Both teams competed well against the best teams in the state. Way to go cross country, great finish to your season.

Congratulations to the Warrior Marching Band and Color Guard for three outstanding performances at the Colorado Bandmasters Association 5A State Marching Band Championships this past weekend.  The Band performed in quarterfinals on Friday and qualified for semifinals on Saturday earning a score of 74.20.  The Band placed 7th in semifinals with a score of 77.50 and qualified to compete in finals.  During finals competition, the Band had their best show of the season and placed 7th overall in 5A with a score of 76.35!!!  Congratulations to the marching band and guard for an amazing season!!!

Your Varsity Boys’ Soccer team was victorious in their first round playoff game against Monarch yesterday by a score of 3-0. Zach Westerman scored all 3 goals. The shutout effort was led on the defensive side by Zander Hahn, Zach Tripp, Jacob Vogel, and Goalkeeper Spencer Cobb. They now advance to the Sweet 16 round with a game next Wednesday in Grand Junction – details to come. Congratulations Warriors!

On Friday, the Post Grad Center will host Skidmore College, the University of Notre Dame, and Colorado College.  Please note that the Notre Dame visit will be held in C-1432.  

One week from today, the Counseling Department and Post Grad Center will host Financial Aid Night at 6pm in the theater.  An expert from the University of Denver will help families understand the formula for determining college costs, learn the importance of filing the FAFSA and the CSS profile as well as the process for doing so, and learn about scholarships, grants, loans, and the federal work study program.   This is open to senior families who are filing this fall AND underclassmen families who want information to help them plan for the future.

Wednesday’s College Application Boot Camp will focus on processes specific to AHS, help with applications, and general questions.  If you have deadlines approaching this month or next, come to Boot Camp at 7am in the Forum.

On Thursday, the Post Grad Center will host Northern Arizona University, Kansas State University, Metro State University, Princeton University, and the University of Colorado at Denver. Juniors and Seniors!  This morning’s visit from the University of Southern California will be held in the tiered classroom, E-1287.  This afternoon’s visit from the University of Alabama will be held in the Post Grad Center.  

Seniors with November 1st deadlines, please request transcripts in Naviance and submit the blue transcript request forms with payment to Mrs. Arnold by 11am today to ensure timely submission to your colleges.

Students interested in any aspect of the military such as Military Service Academies, ROTC, or enlisting as well as students interested in a career in protective services such as Criminal Justice, Fire Sciences, and Emergency Services,  there is a Military & Protective Services Exploration Workshop at Littleton High School this Thursday evening from 6-9 pm.  It is open to students and families from all over the Denver Metro Area...go check it out!

Both teams placed third at Regionals on Thursday earning them a trip to Colorado Springs this Saturday where they will line up and race against the top 20 5A teams in Colorado. The boys team was led by individual qualifiers Stephen Haysley and Griffin Hampton, and girls team was led by individual qualifier Morgan Conn. Great job and good luck at State!

Hey Warriors! If you are playing on a DECA Dodgeball team, you must attend a rules meeting. The first meeting will be held on Monday, Oct. 23rd at 2:30 pm in the Forum and the second meeting will be held on Tuesday, Oct. 24th at 5:30 pm in the Forum. The rules meeting is mandatory for all players. Attendance will be taken at the meeting. Please see Ms. Krueger with questions.
Ahoy, matey!  If you come to the Arapahoe Theatre at 6:00 pm on October 26th, or the 27th and 28th at 7:00 pm, you will get to see the wonderful cast of Treasure Island!  Tickets are $5.00 for students and $7.00 for adults. Hey Warriors! It’s that time of year again, the time for our Warrior Food Drive for Field Elementary’s food bank, and it’s a Class Competition! Pull out all your canned fruit and oatmeal and take a look in your wallet. From October 23rd through November 3rd, bring your non perishable food (make it healthy!) and money to donate at lunch. Each dollar will be worth 2 cans of food. We are doing penny wars as a class competition. Any pennies in your class box count FOR your class, and any silver coins or dollars contributed to other class’ boxes deducts from their total. So add as much change as you can to these boxes at lunch!! Let’s see which class can make the biggest impact for people in our community!

Free Alive @ 25 class Monday October 23rd at 2:30pm in room W1874. If you are voluntarily taking the class the Sheriff's Office pays for your $79 fee.  If you are 15 1/2 you can get drivers permit after taking the class and a lot insurance companies give you a discount. This is a 4 1/2 hour class. Sign up on-line at www.aliveat25.us Any questions ask Deputy Englert.
