Wednesday’s College Application Boot Camp will focus on processes specific to AHS, help with applications, and general questions.  If you have deadlines approaching this month or next, come to Boot Camp at 7am in the Forum.

On Thursday, the Post Grad Center will host Northern Arizona University, Kansas State University, Metro State University, Princeton University, and the University of Colorado at Denver. Please note that the University of Colorado at Denver visit will be held in C-1457.   Please sign up in Naviance 24 hours in advance.

If you are applying for membership in National Honor Society, remember that applications are due today!  Please turn in your completed application, along with your $15 application fee, to Mrs. Arnold in the bookkeeping office, by 3pm at the absolute latest.

Attention Juniors and Seniors - If you are planning on going on the 2018 Washington DC trip in March please see Ms Winn in the social studies department by the 30th of October to get registered before the first major deadline.

Attention FBLA members! Our next meeting is after school on Wednesday, October 25th. We’ll meet in the forum, and then go to room E1283 to decorate pumpkins. Your pumpkins will be displayed at lunch in the days following the meeting, and students can donate change to vote for their favorite design. This is a great way to earn volunteer time, and all proceeds will benefit the March of Dimes. We’ll see you Wednesday.

The MUSE is back in session and we need you. Submit your art, music and writing to the MUSE by November 17th and you'll be entered into a raffle for a chance to win a gift card. Have an idea for the cover of the MUSE, submit your cover art designs as well. For more information, see Mr. Spare in the Language Art Department.

Halloween costumes are allowed next Tuesday but please make sure they are appropriate and adhere to school dress code. In addition, masks, face painting, weapons and/or any weapon facsimiles are not allowed.

Why couldn’t the pirate learn the alphabet? Because he was always lost at C! Join Arapahoe Theatre on October 26th at 6pm, October 27th at 7pm, and October 28th at 7pm for Treasure Island! Tickets for students are $5, and available through Mr. Ahern’s teacher page!

Join the School Resource Officers on the South Patio and practice your safe driving on the peddle car track.

Have any extra canned foods lying around?  Is your piggy bank overflowing?  The annual AHS Canned Food Drive is here!  During lunch hours, Student Council will be collecting cans and coins to support Field Elementary School's food pantry.  Be sure to bring in cans and coins to your Student Council representatives to support this worthy cause.

Boys Basketball- No Open Gym this week. Please check the athletic page for details on next week's preseason camp.

Anybody interested in playing Girls Basketball should attend the last open gym today from 5:30 – 7:30 in Main Gym.  The preseason camp starts Thursday, October 26 and runs through Friday November 3.  For more information visit www.ahsgirlsbb.com.

Congratulations to the Girls Varsity Gymnastics Team on taking 5th, and JV for placing 8th, at their League meets last week!  A shout out to Aspen Fredericks for placing 10th in the Varsity All Around!  Good work, Girls!
