*Arapahoe Warriors, we would like to introduce you to next years Student Council Executive Team.......President Marcus Morgan, Vice President Saskia Braakman, Secretary Chloe Rule, Publicity Officer Lauren David and Executive Class Liaison Piper Keene. Congratulations! Next week during Tribe each class will vote for Student Council Class Officers.

*Seniors! The May issue of The Herald is about to go to print, so complete your Senior Exit Survey today to be included in the highly anticipated "map."  Be sure to also turn in scholarship award letters!

*The military offers outstanding skills training and educational opportunities.  Next Tuesday, the Army recruiter will be here to talk with interested students about this post high school option.  A head count is needed as he is bringing lunch for registered participants - sign up in Naviance. Questions? See Mrs. Hall in Post Grad.

*MAP testing make-ups will be held in the Library Monday, May 6th thru Friday, May 10th. For all those visiting the library, please be respectful of those testing, and keep your voices to a whisper.

*Reserve your Library study rooms for finals. This may be done on the Library website or in person. 48 hours advance notice is necessary.

*Seniors… All Library materials including books, Yearly Chromebooks, Lenovo power cords are due back by Thursday, May 16th.

*Free Alive @ 25 class Tuesday May 7th at 3:45 PM - 8:15 PM in room W1874. If you are voluntarily taking the class the Sheriff's Office pays for your $79 fee. If you are 15 1/2 you can get your driver’s permit after taking the class and many insurance companies give you a discount. This is a 4 1/2 hour class. Sign up online at www.aliveat25.us.To register for the class the password is "arapahoe". Any questions, ask Deputy Englert.

*The Junior Class invites all seniors and juniors to attend the 2019 “Through the Wardrobe” AHS Prom this Saturday, May 4th at CU South Denver-Wildlife Experience from 8:00 PM until 11:00 PM. Cash ticket sales will be during all lunches in the cafeteria today. Tickets can be purchased for $45.00 (limit 2). Your ticket price includes a commemorative Prom T-Shirt. Tickets purchased online will also be distributed during both lunches. Students must bring their Student ID to pick up and to purchase tickets. Tickets purchased at the door the night of prom are $55 per person. If you are bringing a guest from another school or an AHS underclassman you must have an approved guest form on file to pick up your tickets. If you have any questions, please contact the Junior Class Officers or Junior Class Sponsors, Mrs. Dusto and Mrs. Swank.

*Come ONE, Come ALL!! - It is time to purchase your 2019 Tickets to "The Greatest Show" After Prom. Tickets will be sold in the cafeteria during both lunches today. We will be accepting credit and debit card purchases this year in addition to cash or checks (made payable to AHS PTO).  Cost is $25.00 per person in advance and $30.00 per person at the door. Only Juniors and Seniors may purchase tickets and you may purchase only two total tickets. Also juniors and seniors may purchase an after prom ticket even if you are not going to Prom! Same rules apply for After Prom as for Prom regarding guests from other schools. Your guest form must be approved before you receive your tickets. After Prom will be located right here at Arapahoe High School from 12:00 AM to 4:00 AM following Prom. It is very important that you remember that in order to enter After Prom you MUST have your tickets and photo ID with you.

*This the last day for Key Club’s shoe drive for the organization “Soles for Souls”. Soles4Souls creates sustainable jobs and provides relief through the distribution of shoes and clothing around the world. Look for the big blue boxes around the building -- this is your last week to purge your closets for a great cause. All you have to do is bring any shoes you or your family members no longer want, dump them in a blue box, and you’re done! Let's see if we can donate 1000 pairs!

*Attention all student drivers: do not park in any of the surrounding area retail parking lots during the school day or your cars are subject to be towed!

Athletics

* Yesterday AHS honored eight Warrior student-athletes from the Class of 2019 who have committed to continue their athletic endeavors on a college campus in the Fall of 2019. Ben Brewer -swimming, Kelley Crowley -Cheer, Kira Gilliland - Wrestling, Zac Heaton -football, Mohini Iyer - Fencing, Brooks Jackson - Track & Field, Eliana McClarie -Basketball, Sawyer Travis - Soccer. Congratulations!

*Congratulations to your Varsity Baseball Warriors for their win yesterday over Cherokee Trail.  The teams will meet up again Saturday morning, this time at Cherokee Trail, at 11 am. Come on over and cheer the guys on to another victory!

*Boys lacrosse final regular season game versus Regis Jesuit Friday at 6 p.m. Let’s pack the house at LPSS for Senior Night and show them who has the best lacrosse fans in the state!
