General Announcements
*The art department would like to congratulate the following artists for their participation in the congressional art show, recognized by Jason Crow, congressman for Colorado's 6th district. The artists who were selected to participate were: Annie Baker, Isabella Beasley, Ella Douchane, Paige Dzengelewski, Karishma Kramer, Lauren Mabry, Saul Solares Romero Jr., Emma Roy, and Elizabeth Stutz. Arapahoe was represented in the top 6 artists, where Karishma Kramer's painting of succulents was awarded Honorable Mention. Congrats artists!
*The art dept would also like to ask that all artists who had their art on display in this year's Art Attack come down to art department to pick up your artwork from any of the Art Teachers!
*Attention! Ms. Cavarra would like to send out a huge congratulations to team Circuit who made it to the Big Idea Project State Finals! Seniors Julia Vartuli, Carissa Baker, Alison Pickett, and Chantelle Whittaker, placed in the top FIVE out of 146 teams competing this year. Great job, ladies! Way to represent the Arapahoe Warriors!
*Do you like cars? Do like to see what’s under the hood? Then come down to the AHS Charity Car Show this Saturday May 11th from 9 to noon in the east parking lot. If you have a hot rod you want to show off head down around 8:30 for the start of registration.
*MAP testing make-ups will be held in the Library this week Monday through Friday. For all those visiting the library, please be respectful of those testing, and keep your voices to a whisper.
*Reserve your Library study rooms for finals. This may be done on the Library website or in person. 48 hours advance notice is necessary.
*Seniors… All Library materials including books, Yearly Chromebooks, Lenovo power cords are due back by Thursday, May 16th.
*Free Alive @ 25 class is this Tuesday at 3:45 PM - 8:15 PM in room W1874. If you are voluntarily taking the class the Sheriff's Office pays for your $79 fee. If you are 15 1/2 you can get your driver’s permit after taking the class and many insurance companies give you a discount. This is a 4 1/2 hour class. Sign up online at www.aliveat25.us.To register for the class the password is "arapahoe". Any questions, ask Deputy Englert.
Athletics
*The sophomore baseball team won their two games against Cherokee Trail. They have had a great season! Come out and support them this Saturday as they play Cherry Creek.
*Congratulations to your varsity baseball Arapahoe warriors. They completed their sweep of Cherokee Trail on Saturday with another big win and a final score of 9-5.
