General Announcements
*Happy Monday. Here is your mindful moment for the week: Recount your day by remembering someone else's act of kindness toward you. Think about how you might "pay-it-forward" tomorrow.
*Are you feeling stressed about finals? Come de-stress this Friday during lunches out on the South Patio. There will be therapy dogs, music, activities and more. If you want to make a calming glitter jar, please bring an empty bottle to use. See you there!
*Parking permit applications and payments for next year’s juniors and seniors will be available online beginning July 9, 2019. Permits are required for parking on campus and are on a first-come, first-served basis for juniors and seniors only.
*Seniors, TODAY is the last chance to pick up your collages from the east kiosk or they will be thrown away.
*Yearbooks will be distributed after school today from 3:30 to 4:15 PM in the auxiliary gym. Tomorrow distribution will be in the auxiliary gym from 8:00 AM to 3:45 PM so you can pick up your yearbook during an unscheduled period. You must show your school I.D. or driver’s license. All fines & fees must be paid before you can pick up a yearbook! Any yearbooks not picked up by May 14th may be re-sold. Check the “Fees” tab in your Infinite Campus account to see if you ordered a yearbook. Any extra yearbooks will be sold on a first-come, first-served basis for $80, cash or check payable to AHS.
*Reserve your Library study rooms for finals. This may be done on the Library website or in person. 48 hours advance notice is necessary.
*Seniors… All Library materials including books, Yearly Chromebooks, Lenovo power cords are due back by this Thursday, May 16th.
Athletics
*At the last meet of the season, four Arapahoe swimmers qualified for State: Matthew Carey, Kieran Pope, Atticus Conn and Sawyer Zusi. Arapahoe will have fourteen swimmers and three divers participating in the State Championships this Thursday and Friday!
*Congratulations to the ABK Varsity Lady Warriors as they defeated Cherry Creek last Friday night with a score of 2-1!!! ABK has the best fans and they would appreciate all the fan support they can get this Wednesday at 8:00 PM as they face Rampart in the quarter finals at Liberty High School, District 20 Stadium in Colorado Springs. Please come out and cheer them on as they take the next step in their playoff journey. GO ABK!!!
*Your varsity baseball Warriors play their last home regular season game today. Come out to the field at 4:15 PM to watch the boys beat Creek. Go Warriors!
*The Boys Lacrosse Season ended Saturday in the elite 8 round of the playoffs with an 8-7 loss to Highlands Ranch. The players, coaches and parents alike would like to thank the entire Arapahoe community for their boundless support this year. We truly have the best High School Lacrosse fans in the entire state!
