*ATTENTION, if you have parked your car in the Burger King parking lot today, please move it by First Lunch or it will be towed away. The management company is having the lot milled and needs all cars removed. Thank you!
*Juniors: This year’s PSAT/NMSQT test will be offered on Wednesday, October 12th. This test is optional but it is used to qualify for the National Merit Scholarship program. The fee is $20. To register, follow this link to the September Drumbeat or this form in our announcement. Sophomores may take the test if they like, but please know it is optional. Sophomores have their own link. The registration deadline is Monday, October 3rd.
*College Applications gettin' you down? Or are you ready to apply but still have questions? Join Arapahoe counselors in the forum this Wednesday, September 21st at 8:30am, for Application Boot Camp. You could have your applications done in time for Colorado's Free Application Days in October, and be free to enjoy the rest of your senior year. Bring a laptop!
*Juniors and Seniors not currently in NHS - IF you are eligible to apply to National Honor Society, you will receive an email with instructions on how to apply. If you have questions about eligibility, please refer to the activities website for the NHS "How to Apply" section. If you still have questions, see Ms. Bownds (E1285) or Mrs. Gutierrez (World Lang office). Seniors who are already members DO NOT need to REAPPLY. For these senior members, our first full council meeting will be Monday, September 26th from 3:40-4:00pm in the tiered classroom E1287. Come and meet your Senior Officers!
*Hey Warriors, it’s great to see so many of you dressed up in your pajamas. Come see your fellow Warriors at the 2022 Homecoming Talent Show at 7pm in the theater. Warrior Royalty will be introduced! Tomorrow - dress-up day is Groutfit Day. Wear gray from head to toe. Come watch our staff battle it out in the Staff Trivia contest during both lunches!
*Homecoming dance tickets will be on sale today in the cafeteria during both lunches. Tickets are $20 or $25 at the door. Homecoming t-shirt sales will start tomorrow, Tuesday, during both lunches in the cafeteria until Thursday, September 22nd Each shirt is $8. Seniors and Sophomores wear black; Juniors and Freshmen wear gold. Cash or a check will be accepted for both tickets and shirts.
*If you are planning to bring a guest (someone who is not an AHS student) to our Homecoming Dance on Saturday, September 24th, please stop by the Front Desk or Activities office to pick up a Guest Pass Approval Form. This approval form is due by Tuesday, September 20th at 3:00pm.
*Warriors, there is a free Alive@25 class Monday September 26th at 3:45pm - 8:15pm in room W1874. There is still plenty of room to signup. This is a 4 1/2 hour class. Register on-line at www.aliveat25.us and use the password ARAPAHOE. Any questions, ask Deputy Englert.
Athletics
*Congratulations to the gymnastics team on their 2nd place finish at their home meet on Saturday. Way to go!
*On Friday, the Boys Varsity Tennis Warrions battled for hours to defeat Heritage with a score of 5-2. The boys are in action at home today against Chaparral 3:45pm.
*Calling all Warriors to the AHS turf tonight! Cheer on our Field Hockey Warriors as they battle against Mountain Vista -Varsity at 6:00pm, JV at 7:15pm and C team at 8:15pm.
