*Hey Warriors, are you interested in being part of something this Winter? LPS has a wonderful opportunity for you! LPS Combined Winter Guard is having an informational meeting on Wednesday, November 8th from 6:00pm-7:30pm in the AHS Band Room. It's a great opportunity to meet friends, be active, and do something fun! See you there.
*Hey Warriors - AHS's UNIFIED Basketball season is about to start and we are seeking Peer Coaches for the season. There will be a Peer Coaches meeting on Tuesday, November 7th after school in room E1275 in the Center Based classroom. Come check it out. If you can’t attend please reach out to Mrs. Rooney.
*Wondering how you'll pay for college or trade school? Join us for Financial Aid Night on Tuesday, November 7th from 6:30pm-8:00pm in the Forum. Learn all about how to apply for financial aid and scholarships, and be prepared to fill out the FAFSA when it opens in December!
*Warriors, this is the last week for the Annual Food Drive! Please help by donating non-perishable food, toiletries and cash donations for the Field Elementary Food Bank. You will have until this Friday, November 10th. Bring your donations to your Tribe classroom or drop them in any of the yellow boxes you see around the school. The Tribe that collects the most donations will win a bagel party! There will also be a donation drop off time for the COMMUNITY in the bus loop on Saturday, November 11th from 9:00am - 12 noon.
Athletics
*The Warrior TOMS successfully kicked off their competition season Saturday with the Varsity team finishing 1st in Hip-Hop and 3rd in Pom! The JV team competed in the Hip-Hop category for the first time ever and brought home their own 1st place finish, followed by a 2nd in Pom. Come out and cheer on all of your TOMS on Tuesday evening, November 7th as they compete at the Centennial League competition at Grandview High School. Competition begins at 6:30 with your TOMS performing at 7:00 pm!
*There will be a Warrior Baseball Parent Information and Booster meeting TONIGHT at 7:00pm in the Forum at AHS. Don't miss out!
*ATTENTION ABK GIRLS: If you are interested in playing soccer in the spring please come to a preseason meeting after school on Thursday, November 9th in the tiered classroom E1287. If you are unable to attend please reach out to Coach Hayes.
*Warriors - all girls planning to play basketball this coming season please plan to attend this week's preseason Camp from 6:00pm-8:00pm in both gyms. Come be a part of this amazingly successful program! See you there!
*Warriors - join us on Thursday, November 16th from 6:00pm-9:30pm for our FIRST Annual Boys Basketball Crosstown Throwdown. We are joining up with Heritage for a night of fun skill competitions, a staff game, a unified game and a dunk contest with celebrity judges! Bring your family and dinner (OR purchase at concessions), and have some fun while supporting the Arapahoe Boys Basketball team! Tickets are $5 for students and $10 for adults and will be sold during lunches on Monday, November 6th and Wednesday the 8th!
