General Announcements
*Remember - Veteran’s Day is Saturday, November 11th. In the words of U.S. Representative Dan Lipinski, “On this Veterans Day, let us remember the service of our veterans, and let us renew our national promise to fulfill our sacred obligations to our veterans and their families who have sacrificed so much so that we can live free.”
*Seniors: please be sure to check the latest announcement in the Postsecondary Google Classroom! There is action you will need to take if you still have an application to submit in the Common App. If you have a November 15th application deadline, please get your transcript request form to your counselor or Ms. Conn as soon as possible. If you have a December 1st deadline, request forms are due Monday, November 13th. Forms are available in the Postsecondary Center, the counseling office, the library, the front office, and the Postsecondary website.
*We NEED YOU Warriors - we’ve recently replaced our irrigation system and we need you to stay on the sidewalks to protect our grass and keep mud out of the school. We really appreciate your help!
*Warriors, this is the last week for the Annual Food Drive! Please help by donating non-perishable food, toiletries and cash donations for the Field Elementary Food Bank. You will have until this Friday, November 10th. Don’t forget the Tribe that collects the most donations will win a bagel party! There will also be a community drop off on Saturday, November 11th from 9:00am - 12 noon in the bus loop.
*Come support AHS’ Instrumental Music program by stopping by the Greenwood Village Panera on south Holly, Monday, November 13th from 4:00pm - 8:00pm and grabbing a bite to eat. A portion of the proceeds will benefit the program when you either: bring the flier or show a digital copy when ordering in person OR enter the promo code FUND4U at checkout on Panerabread.com or the Panera App.
Athletics
*Anyone interested in being a part of the 2024 Arapahoe Warrior Track and Field team should attend an informational meeting TODAY after school in room W1529. We will be discussing the upcoming spring season and winter workouts. Come and be a part of the Arapahoe track family. If you are unable to attend please see Coach Lienemann sometime before the end of next week.
*ATTENTION ABK GIRLS: If you are interested in playing soccer in the spring please come to a preseason meeting TODAY after school in the tiered classroom, E1287. If you are unable to attend please reach out to Coach Hayes.
*Come out and cheer on your Warrior Football team as they take on Chatfield in the 2nd round of state playoffs on Friday, November 10th at 7:00pm at LPS Stadium. Student Athletic Passes can’t be used for playoff games. Tickets can be purchased at GoFan.co
*Warriors - join us on Thursday, November 16th from 6:00pm-9:30pm for our FIRST Annual Boys Basketball Crosstown Throwdown. We are joining up with Heritage for a night of fun skill competitions, a staff game, a unified game and a dunk contest with celebrity judges! Bring your family and dinner (OR purchase at concessions), and have some fun while supporting the Arapahoe Boys Basketball team! Tickets are $5 for students and $10 for adults.
