*Good luck to the Girls Varsity Swimmers and Divers who are competing at Coaches Invite TOMORROW at VMAC in Thornton.  The girls will be competing against many of the state's best swimmers and divers at the prestigious competition.  Good luck girls!


*Good luck to the Girls Varsity Basketball team in their continuing tournament TONIGHT  and Saturday, December 21st at HOME.


*Good luck to the Boys Varsity Basketball team TONIGHT & TOMORROW  in their tournament at Broomfield HS.

*Warriors, the toy delivery to College View Elementary yesterday was an amazing day. The kids at their school were overflowing with joy and happiness because of our collective generosity. Thank you to all the student groups who contributed to the sorting and wrapping that made yesterday possible. Special shout out to student council and the Arapahoe singers for traveling with us to College View yesterday. Go Warriors!!

Athletics

*Shout out to our Warrior Boys Basketball teams! Arapahoe hosted Rock Canyon last night in Sitting Eagle Gym. The JV team lost a super close game. The freshmen defeated the Jaguars 47-31. The Sophomores came out on top with a score of 43-39, and the Varsity team won a super close battle coming out victorious 60-57! The boys would like to thank the Cheers, Toms, and Band as well as all the fans for showing out last night! Good luck to our teams as they head into the Broomfield Tournament this weekend!

*Come cheer on your Girls Varsity Basketball teams @ HOME on Thursday, December 18th.  They play Vista Peak at 5:00pm and Palmer at 7:45pm.

 General Announcements *Congratulations to the Warrior Climbing team for their 3rd Place Girls Team and 5th Place Boys Team finishes on Saturday at Movement Centennial. Good luck at your next comp on January 11th at Denver Bouldering Club South.


*Our AHS Thespians did amazingly at our State Competition last weekend! We brought 40 students and performed 37 different pieces at the conference this year. Twenty of our students qualified for the National Conference, a record for Arapahoe High School. If you see them please congratulate them!

  • In the tech events Addison Becker, Luke Dodge, Ashton Ellis, and Madelyn Smith.

  • In the musical events Olivia Drohan, Moya Goodiel, Kate Jonnard, Eleanor Reed, and Talia Sturtz. 

  • In the acting events Jackson Beeman, Joey Boris, Katie Copp, Ruby Danaceau, Matteo DeNittis, Xander Galvin, Moya Goodiel, Kate Jonnard, Ava Profitt, Lucy Roby, Jay Snodgrass, Lexie Stinson, Talia Sturtz, and Ruby Ulmer.

  • There were over 5,000 students at the conference this year. ‘Philip Glass Buys a Loaf of Bread’ by Ruby Danaceau, Katie Copp, Moya Goodiel, Matteo DeNittis, and Xander Galvin was chosen as the State Champion group scene and performed to the full conference. Congratulations to all of our Thespians!

*Need a little study break, catch all of your Boys Basketball teams TONIGHT as they take on Rock Canyon in Sitting Eagle Gymnasium. The Varsity boys tip off at 7:00pm, following JV and Freshmen at 5:30pm. Sophomores play at 4:00pm.


*Girls - are you interested in playing Lacrosse this spring?  Join us in the Forum on Wednesday morning, December 18th at 8:00am and meet our new Head Coach Matt Thomas.  Find out about the program and ask any questions you might have.

*Attention National Honor Society Members: a hard copy of your log sheets must be turned in to a sponsor TODAY by 3:30pm. Remember to take a photo of your log sheets before you turn them in.


Athletics

*Congratulations to your Girls Swimming and Diving team who competed in the Arapahoe Relays over the weekend.  Both the Varsity and JV teams competed with enthusiasm and pride.  The girls are next in action on Saturday at the very competitive Coaches Invitational.  Good luck Warriors!


*Your Freshman and Sophomore Boys Basketball teams took on Rangeview over the weekend. The Sophomores lost their battle, but huge congratulations go out to our Freshman team for an awesome buzzer-beating 3-point shot to win the game over Rangeview 46-45! Need a little study break, catch all of your boys TOMORROW NIGHT as they take on Rock Canyon in Sitting Eagle Gymnasium. The Varsity boys tip off at 7:00pm.

General Announcements

*Today marks the 11th anniversary of December 13, 2013. It was the loving and kindness extended to our Arapahoe community by Claire Davis's family that prompted us to always encourage students to be loving and kind towards others and in our community especially during this week in our school's history. Thank you for being respectful and kind to your teachers, your parents, and your peers. 


*Seniors: if you have college application deadlines during the winter break, your schools must be in the APPLIED column in Scoir by December 15th. All supporting documents in our system will be sent to those colleges before break begins. 


*WARRIORS - Monday, December 16th, it will be all-school Ugly Holiday Sweater Day! Please wear your most atrocious holiday-wear. 


*Next Monday the 16th, before finals begin, come to the cafeteria during lunches to enjoy a DE-STRESS EVENT put on by your mental health team. There will be hot cocoa, calming strategies, therapy dogs, and more! See you there!

*Students- we need your feedback - please check your LPS google email for the LPS graduation requirements survey. LPS is reviewing current graduation requirements and we need to hear from students. Take a few moments to complete this short survey by Dec 20th. Any potential recommendations changes would be for the Class of 2029.  Thank you for your time and input.

*Warriors - we are still collecting toys for our Arapahoe Annual Toy Drive or monetary donations until Monday, December 16th.  Help make this Christmas or Hannakuh special for the children of College View Elementary!  Thanks Warriors!


Athletics

*Congratulations to the Girls Swimming and Diving team on their dominating performance over league rival Smoky Hill last night.  The girls are back in action TOMORROW at the AHS Pool for the Arapahoe Relays.  It is a fun and energetic competition where ALL swimming events are relays.  Diving starts at 9:00 and swimming events should start around 12:30. Good luck to all our swimmers and divers!


*Come get loud and cheer on your Warrior Wresting teams TONIGHT as they take on our cross town rival - Heritage.  JV and C Level start @ 6:00 and Varsity and Girls start @ 7:00pm.  Tickets can be purchased online through GoFan.com or at the door with cash or card.  Athletic passes are accepted.


*Warriors - come cheer on your Girls Basketball teams TOMORROW as they take on Regis at HOME.  C Level starts @ 2:30pm followed by JV @ 4:00pm.  Varsity will start at 5:30pm.  Tickets can be purchased online through GoFan.com or at the door with cash or card.  Athletic passes are accepted.

*Warriors, stop by the library all day TOMORROW for a free cookie and cup of cocoa sponsored by Link Crew and in honor of Deliberate Acts of Love and Kindness Week. We want you to feel warm and special with this free fun in the library! You can also write a thank-you note to an adult in the building when you come by. Remember that you should wear purple tomorrow, Claire Davis's favorite color. 


*Warriors, come join us TONIGHT from 5:30pm-7:00pm for the Art Department’s Reception for the Fall Art Show including refreshments and the incredible work from our students! 


*Warriors - please check the Lost & Found in the cafeteria before Holiday break.   We have jackets, hoodies, water bottles & MORE!


*Do you want to know what it takes to get into one of America's Service Academies, or what life is like once you're there? Join Arapahoe alum Connor Crookham, recent graduate of the Air Force Academy, in the Postsecondary Center TOMORROW at 10:05am to find out! See Ms. Conn in Room S1401 for a pass if you'll miss class.
