General Announcements

*Arapahoe continues to celebrate Deliberate Acts of Love and Kindness week. We encourage students to think about their personal impact on others and the community. Being a loving and kind person is a world-changing identity. Wear purple on Friday to honor Claire Davis.

*Warriors- Nutrition services is hosting a festive sweater competition TOMORROW. Wear a silly sweater when you get lunch. The school with the highest meal participation will receive a hot cocoa day.

*Good Luck to our Warrior Thespians as they attend and compete at Thescon, December 12th-14th.  Our thespians are bringing over 40 performances to this conference, so if you see them remind them to break a leg!

*If you're interested in talking to a recruiter from the Marines, Sergeant Haley and Arapahoe alumni Cade Weston will be in the cafeteria during both lunches TOMORROW, December 12th.

*Warriors - please check the Lost & Found in the cafeteria before Holiday break.   We have jackets, hoodies, water bottles & MORE!

*Next Monday the 16th, before finals begin, come to the cafeteria during lunches to enjoy a DE-STRESS EVENT put on by your mental health team. There will be hot cocoa, calming strategies, therapy dogs, and more! See you there!

*Seniors: if you have college application deadlines during the winter break, your schools must be in the APPLIED column in Scoir by December 15th. All supporting documents in our system will be sent to those colleges before break begins.

*Warriors, come join us as the Art department is hosting and Open House-style Reception for the Fall Art Show TOMORROW from 5:30pm-7:00pm. Please come for some light refreshments (provided by Mrs. Martinez and our fabulous culinary classes) and a chance to see all the incredible work our students have been working on so far this year!

*Attention National Honor Society Members: a hard copy of your log sheets must be turned in to a sponsor by Monday, December 16th, at 3:30 p.m. Remember to take a photo of your log sheets before you turn them in.

*Students- we need your feedback - please check your LPS google email for the LPS graduation requirements survey. LPS is reviewing current graduation requirements and we need to hear from students. Take a few moments to complete this short survey by Dec 20th. Any potential recommendations changes would be for the Class of 2029.  Thank you for your time and input.

*Warriors - we are still collecting toys for our Arapahoe Annual Toy Drive!  We have partnered with College View Elementary to give all their students the holidays of their dreams. We will be accepting toys for these kids through December 16th.  We ask that toys are not weapons and do not require batteries.  Also, please make sure the toys are new so these kids feel just as special and loved as all of us when we open presents on Christmas or Hannakuh. We will also be accepting monetary donations through our online giving page at this link: Toy Drive Donation.  Let's all come together to make these kids' December as magical as ours. Thanks Warriors!
