Tickets are now on sale for a very special professional concert in our theatre on Friday, February 17th!  Tickets are just $5.00 and the 6pm concert will feature the Denver Brass, the Arapahoe and Concert Brass, the Arapahoe Wind Ensemble, the Newton Band, and the Powell Band.  Tickets are available from the Band Office or from any Wind Ensemble Musician.

Hey Arapahoe!  Tomorrow is Valentine’s Day, so buy your chocolate hearts and roses TODAY!  You can buy them now or have it sent to your special someone on Valentines Day!

On Tuesday, February 21st Bonfils will be here at AHS for our second Blood Drive of the year. Students may sign up for appointments this week during lunch hours. Donors must be at least 17 years of age.  Any donor who is 17 years of age must have parental consent signed at the time of the drive. Please be sure that all 17 year old donors that sign up are provided with a permission slip. We have 63 appointments available so hurry and get signed up.

Congratulations to Sean Case, Corey McClymonds and Matt McEachern for earning a perfect score of "6" on the last Colorado Math League. Arapahoe is in 3rd place in the state, only 1 point behind Cherry Creek. Please do your best on tomorrow's CML. Go Arapahoe!

Congratulations to the Arapahoe Science Bowl Team and their excellent performance at the Regional Competition held this Saturday at the Colorado School of Mines: Elizabeth Bunker, Amanda Gossak, Chris Johnston, Alex Hall and Courtney Stewart.

Congratulations go to Justin Lambert who placed third in National Extemporaneous Speaking this weekend at the Blazing Sun Speech and Debate Tournament at Overland High School.

Athletics

It’s almost here….!   ARAPAHOE VS HERITAGE VARSITY BASKETBALL
THURSDAY, FEBRUARY 16, 2006, AT METRO STATE COLLEGE
The Lady Warriors will play at 6:00pm, followed by the Boys at 7:30 pm.  Today tickets will be sold in the cafeteria during both lunches.  Tickets can also be bought in the Athletic Office during the remainder of the school day. Adult tickets are $7 and Students tickets are $5. NO STUDENT I.D. CARDS WILL BE ACCEPTED AT THE GAME.  TICKETS ARE LIMITED SO GET YOURS TODAY!  

Just a reminder to all boy and girl tracksters, that registration will be at 2:20, Feb. 15th after school in S-3.  Please have all your paper work in order so you can receive your participation card for your coaches.

Congratulations to the Warrior Wrestlers.  The Warriors are sending six wrestlers to the Pepsi Center for the State Wrestling tournament starting on Thursday.  Your State-Qualifiers are, Kelan Hughes, Matt Croshal, Xander Elliott, Justin Reed, Robert Lanius and Bobby Strain.   Attention all Wrestlers that earned a Varsity Letter, there will be a quick meeting after school in the wrestling room.

Congratulations to the girls swim and dive team for winning the Continental League Championships for the ninth straight time this past weekend! 54 girls qualified and competed to help the Warriors to victory. 17 girls have now qualified for the State meet. They are: Dawn Adams, Kathleen Griffin, Becca Getz, Barbara Petersen, Lauren Brock, Kirsten Hesla, Carliann Brashier, Kaeli Kluesner, Kelly O'Brien, Carolyn Pasque, Sarah Eigner, Haley McCoy, Lindsay Mast, Karrah Griffin, Lizzy Miller, Emily Thompson and Emily Anderson.   Come support your Warriors at State this Thursday and Friday at the EPIC Center in Ft. Collins.

Congratulations to the Girl's JV Basketball team on their victory over Douglas County last Thursday night.  The Warriors defeated the Huskies 62-27.  Leading Arapahoe in scoring was Kate Spring with 13 points; Tamara Foster 12 points; Devo Holland  7 points; Katherine Liebatrau 7 points; Leslie McGetrick 6 points; Hanna Hoopingarner 5 points; Sarah Bailey 4 points; Stepahine Saathoff 4 points; Becky Bowman 2 Points; and Heather Sauvber 2 points.  Great teamwork Ladies!   Please come to support the JV team tomorrow when they play Chaparral at 5:30 here at Arapahoe.

All special Olympic players and partners, there is a practice tonight in the AHS main gym at 7:30pm.
