General Announcements

Students – do you want to have a voice in actions and decisions made at Arapahoe? Before enjoying a relaxing summer, here’s an opportunity we hope you will consider. The Arapahoe School Accountability Committee is seeking 3 students to serve on this committee for next year. The committee meets once a month during the school year and is a valuable experience and opportunity for you to make a difference at Arapahoe. Please consider joining SAC! Applications are available from Mrs. Minnotte in the Attendance Office. Application deadline is May 25th.

Attention all art students from first and second semester! Please come by and pick up all your artwork from the Art Department!!!

Just a reminder to Seniors! Today is the last day to pay fines & return books. Your cap & gown will be held if you have any outstanding fines.

Attention students, come to yearbook distribution on Monday, May 15 right after school. Don’t forget, you’ll need a photo I.D. Also, protective covers and autograph pages will be sold. The lines may look long, but they move fast and you will not want to wait until Tuesday to get your copy! Can't come? They will be available from 6-6:45 a.m. in room E-8 tomorrow morning.

Congratulations to all Arapahoe mathematicians! The results are in! We tied for first place with Fairview High School in the Colorado Math League. This is the first time Arapahoe has earned first place. Fabulous job warriors! Go Arapahoe!!

Seniors: We would like to hear from you – as a soon to be AHS Grad - your 5 best tips for making it through the college application process while it is still fresh on your mind. Leave your responses in the Main Office in a marked basket or in the Post Grad Center. Future AHS grads will thank you, so will Mrs. Lewallen.

Athletics

Attention Boy Golfers!! There will be a meeting on today, at 2:45 in room S-8 for all boys who are interested in trying out for the golf team in August. If you can’t be there, make sure your name gets turned in to Coach Anderson so you get all the necessary information.

Congratulations to Leslie McGetrick and Maria Gushurst for qualifying to play at the STATE GIRLS GOLF Tournament. Leslie placed 7th at regional’s out of 65 girls. Good luck at state on May 22 and 23rd.

Congratulations to the Varsity Boys Lacrosse team for their win against Monarch 13-1 Tuesday night. Goals were made by Ross Klein, Eric Law, Ben Johns, Tyler Snyder, Stephen Gerhard, Matt Paullara and Ryan Parietti. There was great goal tending as usual by Peyton Tyrie and Wes Gibler. WAY TO GO TEAM! Next playoff game will be Saturday @ Englewood High School 2:00 against Mullen. We need all the Lacrosse fans there to cheer your team on to victory. GO WARRIORS!!!!

A reminder to all girls JV soccer players: uniform check-in and voting is today @ 2:30 in room c-7

Attention Origami Club Members! Our end-of-the-year party is scheduled for Friday, May 12, after school in the Enrichment Room from 2:15 - 3:00 p.m.
