Attention seniors graduating with Honors and High Honors! Please stop by and see Ms. Pramenko if you received notification from her to do so. It is very important regarding reading your name correctly at both Awards Convocation and Graduation.

Students – do you want to have a voice in actions and decisions made at Arapahoe? Before enjoying a relaxing summer, here’s an opportunity we hope you will consider. The Arapahoe School Accountability Committee is seeking 3 students to serve on this committee for next year. The committee meets once a month during the school year and is a valuable experience and opportunity for you to make a difference at Arapahoe. Please consider joining SAC! Applications are available from Mrs. Minnotte in the Attendance Office. Application deadline is May 25th.

Seniors the time is here! This is a reminder to check both the library & bookkeeping lists around the building, to make sure that you don’t have a fine or overdue book. If you have a fine, come on down to the library or bookkeeping and get it paid. The deadline to resolve your fines is tomorrow, May 18th. You registration card will be held if you have any outstanding fines. Do not let a fine keep you from picking up your cap and gown!

This Sunday, May 21st, our Dry Creek Dixie Dawgs will be performing with Canadian professional trumpeter, Bria Skonberg, at the Denver Jazz Club’s May Youth Jam Session! The UCD Claimjumpers will also be performing. The sets run from 2 until 5pm at the Westminster Elks Lodge. Tickets are just $7.00, and all proceeds will benefit The Dry Creek Dixie Dawgs. Come find out why this combo won a 2006 National Downbeat Magazine Outstanding Jazz Performance Award!! This will be the final performance of the year for the 2005-06 Dry Creek Dixie Dawgs. Please see any Dixie musician, or stop by the band office, to buy advance purchase tickets.

Mrs. Pepe will have Taylor Atkinson’s yearbook in Room S6 through Friday of this week. If you would like to sign it, please stop by anytime.

Are you interested in exploring the Chinese language? An intensive Chinese course taught through a simulated adventure for interested Arapahoe students will be held at Euclid Middle School the week of July 29 through August 5. The course will be taught by Dr. Robert Blair, Brigham Young University professor of linguistics. Additional information is available from the main office.

Students who still need to pick up their yearbooks can do so from 6-7 a.m., during 4th hour and at lunch as well as after school until 3 p.m. Books need to be claimed no later than noon tomorrow!!! Late fees will apply after Thursday.

A new study shows that too much stress the night before finals can cause serious damage to one's mental health. So instead of last minute cramming and massive amounts of caffeine, come to the first ever Student Film Festival. That's right, after many delays and end of year projects; it's time to watch those films that a small part of you submitted. The fun starts at 2:30, tomorrow May 18th. Featured films include: The Volvo Diaries, Absolut Voder, and DDR: The Real Revolution. See you Thursday.

Students, if you are interested in hiking through the Grand Canyon, rock climbing and rafting on the Colorado River, there is an awesome opportunity waiting for you during Spring Break of 2007. Please see Ms. Durow in the Science office if you are interested.

Looking for that perfect summer job? How about a summer internship in the South Metro Denver Chamber of Commerce? A great opportunity to make a contribution to your community while getting some valuable business experience. Get information in the Post Grad Center.
