General Announcements

ATTENTION STUDENTS THAT ARE TAKING ANY COLLEGE COURSES NEXT YEAR: YOUR APPLICATIONS MUST BE TURNED INTO THE COUNSELING OFFICE THIS WEEK. THE DEADLINE IS TODAY, MAY 5TH.

ATTENTION ALL SENIORS: Any Senior who was not in an Economics or American Government class on Thursday or Friday last week, please see Mrs. Schaff in the Guidance Center to complete an Exit Report and to pick up information on your graduation on May 24th.

Students – do you want to have a voice in actions and decisions made at Arapahoe? Before enjoying a relaxing summer, here’s an opportunity we hope you will consider. The Arapahoe School Accountability Committee is seeking 3 students to serve on this committee for next year. The committee meets once a month during the school year and is a valuable experience and opportunity for you to make a difference at Arapahoe. Please consider joining SAC! Applications are available from Mrs. Minnotte in the Attendance Office. Application deadline is May 25th.

Prom Tickets are selling and selling fast!! They will be on sale through the end of this week. Today’s 2nd lunch is your last chance to purchase tickets for $30. Tomorrow night, they will be sold at the door for $35 a person. Remember to bring your student ID and to be safe on Prom Night!!

Students wishing to leave early from the After-Prom: it is AHS’s policy that an Arapahoe Administrator or faculty member calls your parents prior to students leaving the After-Prom: Arapahoe High School does not make prior arrangements with parents through notes and phone calls. Please see Mr. Routh if you have any questions.

Attention all seniors who are applying for the JEM Scholarship. All materials need to be to Mrs. Schaff in the Guidance Center by 2:30pm today.

Sophomores: The Post Grad Center wants YOU! If you have not visited the Post Grad Center, please stop by to schedule your appointment as soon as possible! Can’t wait to see you!

Lost and Found is once again in the cafeteria. Please check the table, it will only be set up through today. Also there are items in the attendance office. Please check there also.

It's Awards time for the Performing Arts. If you would like to vote for your favorite Actors and Actresses see Mr. Earley today for a ballot. Anyone involved in Theatre this year or has seen two of the three main stage shows is eligible to vote. See Mr. Earley by 2:30.


Athletics

Attention Boy Golfers!! There will be a meeting on Thursday, May 11th at 2:20 in room S-8 for all boys who are interested in trying out for the golf team in August. If you can’t be there, make sure your name gets turned in to Coach Anderson so you get all the necessary information.

Hey Warriors--looking for something to do the night before Prom? Then come support the Girls Varsity Lacrosse Team in their first State Playoff game. Your Warriors take on the Mullen Mustangs tonight at 7:00 at LPS Stadium. Let's pack that stadium and show Mullen how much spirit and pride Arapahoe really has. Let's do this Warriors!!

The girls JV soccer team advanced to the semi-finals of the Warrior Invitational Tournament yesterday by defeating Mullen, 5 – 0.

Is Leslie McGetrick in your class right now? High fives for her season and personal best golf score of a 76 at the Highlands Ranch Golf Club Tournament yesterday. She placed 4th overall! Other awesome scores came from Maria Gushurst, 92, Aubrey Dreessen, 94, and Christine Decker, 96. Way to go Lady Golfers!!
