General Announcements

We’d like to thank the following trumpeters: Dustin Flaum, Colton Crandell, Josh Mackleburger, Melanie Brown, and Steven Mumblo, for sharing their talent with us during todays’ 911 rememberance.

Wild Warrior Women! Please pick up your football t-shirts at lunch on Friday or by the end of the school day Friday. If you do not pick them up they will be given to the girls who are listed to buy the extra t-shirts.

Need some community service hours? Come to Key Club today, after school in room C16. Key club is an awesome way to volunteer with your friends. We are planning our Mineral St. pick up and could use you there!

Hey singers, dancers, comedians, musicians, and other talented students! The homecoming talent show auditions are on September 13th and 14th. Get your acts together now and sign up for a try out time in the main office. MC’s are needed as well as acts, too! Good Luck!

This is for all seniors that want to be in the senior class skit, come to room C1 right after school, today. Hope to see you all there. If you have questions talk to Aryn O’Donnell.

Colleges visiting Arapahoe High School today, in the Guidance Center Conference Room: Pepperdine at 10 AM; Gonzaga at 1PM.

Attention all ice cream lovers. Do you like it? Love it? Gotta have it? Then come and get your favorite Coldstone ice cream and support the AHS choir and orchestra, Wednesday, September 13th from 6:30 to 8:30 at the Coldstone Creamery at Park Meadows and identify your purchase for the fundraiser by saying, “I’m with the Arapahoe Choir and Orchestra!” Don’t forget, Wednesday night at the Park Meadows Coldstone.

Hey juniors! Do you want to be a part of the junior class skit in the Homecoming talent show? Come to room E4 on Tuesday, Sept. 12th after school. Make sure to bring a yellow t-shirt.

Homecoming royalty nominations will take place during both lunches on Tuesday and Wednesday, Sept. 12 and 13th. Students must show ID.

Hey Pride Tribers! Get your t-shirt money and size to Ms. Durow as soon as possible. We will be putting the order in this Friday. Also, don’t forget tomorrow night’s boy’s soccer game versus Chaparral HS at LPSS. Come support your fellow Warriors!

Hey class of 2010!!! We had a great meeting for our parade float this past Saturday but we still need your help. Let’s meet this Wednesday morning at 7:00 in room S-8 to make this the best float ever. Hope to see you there!

Athletics

Registration for the Arapahoe Girls Swim/Dive Team is tomorrow, September 12 at 7pm in the cafeteria. New swimmers and freshmen, please arrive at 6:30 in room C1 for a brief meeting. Our team, swim suit, sweats, shorts, t-shirts, etc. will be available to try on. Coaches and booster club volunteers will be available to answer all your questions.

Registration for the Arapahoe Girls Swim/Dive team is tomorrow, Sept 12th. Coach Richmond, will be meeting with all girls interested in the team. The sessions are at 7pm and at 7:20pm in room C1.

The boys Varsity soccer team won the Warrior Invitational Tournament by defeating Cherry Creek 4 – 2 Saturday night. Joey Madigan and Chris Carry were both selected to the All Tournament Team. Most Valuable Player honors went to: Daniel Sidder goalkeeper, Gary Cole defender and Keegan Bast offense. The boys Junior Varsity soccer team also won the tournament defeating Cherry Creek 2 – 1 Saturday afternoon.

Congratulations to the freshman football team for their 28-20 victory over the Douglas County Huskies. The Warriors were lead by Davis Gunther with 3 rushing touchdowns and Kyle England with one passing touchdown from Greg Colosimo. Thanks to all of our fans that came out and supported us!

Congratulations to our Warrior Cheers and Toms! All of our teams made a great showing at their first competition of the year held last Saturday at Elitch Gardens' Spirit Fest. The JV Cheers took 2nd Place in the JV division, and the Varsity Cheers took 3rd place in the Varsity division."

Attention Chess Players! There will be chess practice after school today, from 2:15 – 3:00 p.m. in the Enrichment Room. See you there!

Then the new Extreme Sport Warriors club might just be for you. Arapahoe has never offered a club like this before, so now is the perfect opportunity to fulfill your dream in experiencing a new kind of outdoor activity or sharing your love of extreme sports with other Warriors. We are looking for experienced and non-experienced sportsmen to join us in Room C-22 THIS Wednesday, September 13th right after school. Don’t forget to bring your ideas and experience!
