General Announcements

Due to safety issues there will be no tailgating at Littleton Public Schools Stadium for all sports events.

Looking for a way to get involved? Is business in your future or do you just want to have fun? Come to the first FBLA, future business leaders of America meeting, Monday, September 11th for information and snacks. Were planning some awesome events this year so join us in S1 at 2:15 and bring friends!

Attention all new and potential FCCLA members: FCCLA will be having a meeting today, Sept 7th at 2:20 in room E3. We will be discussing our homecoming float plans as well as upcoming chapter activities. Even if you missed our first meeting you are still welcome to attend and get involved in one of Arapahoe’s most outstanding organizations.

Hey CSJC, community service, just ‘cause members! We have a meeting today, Sept 7th, right after school in room C19. We are going to be signing up to go to the animal shelter this weekend. Remember, it’s not too late to join.

The lost and found table will be in the cafeteria this week. Please take a look for any items that you may be missing.

Hey wild Warrior Women! We are having a meeting today, Sept. 7th, after school in the outdoor classroom. Also, today is the last day we will be collecting money for the Homecoming t-shirts from all senior boys and girls. Your last chance to get the money in will be at the meeting, so don’t forget!

Hey Pride Tribers! Bring your t-shirt ideas and school spirit to our meeting today after school in W101. NOT W105 as previously announced.

Hey freshmen…Homecoming is fast approaching and we want to get a head start on the float. Please join us this Saturday at noon to begin construction!! If interested, please pick up directions from Mrs. Crookham’s desk in the math office. Hope to see you there!!

Need some community service hours? Come to Key Club on Monday, Sept. 11th after school in room C16. Key club is an awesome way to volunteer with your friends. We are planning our Mineral St. pick up and could use you there!

Hey all seniors! Vote for senior class song, motto, and flower in the cafeteria during both lunches today and Friday. Be a part of the 2007 class spirit and don’t forget to bring your student ID!

Hey singers, dancers, comedians, musicians, and other talented students! The homecoming talent show auditions are on September 13th and 14th. Get your acts together now and sign up for a try out time in the main office. MC’s are needed as well as acts, too! Good Luck!

Juniors and Seniors:
A Southern Methodist University admissions representative is visiting today at 9am in the Guidance Center conference room.

Athletics

Congratulations to the JV golfers for finishing 1st out of 14 teams at Aurora Hills led by Nick Davis’s 70. They finished 2nd out of 26 teams at Ft. Morgan led by Nick Davis and Joe Smith. They finished 1st out of 13 teams at Littleton led by Brian Zenk.

Hey all Fall Sports Captains! We are having a quick meeting right after school tomorrow, Sept. 8th. All captains of fall sport need to show up in room E5. We will be done quickly, so you can get to practice. Thanks and see you there!

Congratulations to the Arapahoe JV softball team for defeating the ThunderRidge Grizzlies last night by a score of 12-2. Pitcher Brandy Zummo led the Warrior defense with 9 strikeouts. A double by Keiko Anazai and RBI's by Lauren Leonard, Rebecca Rodman, and Natalie Jones helped lead the team to a victory. Great Job Ladies!

The boys Varsity soccer team defeated Overland 1-0 last night to advance to the finals of the Warrior Tournament Saturday night at 7:30pm at LPSS.

The boys Junior Varsity soccer team defeated Rock Canyon 5 – 0 yesterday advancing to the finals against Cherry Creek Saturday at 12 noon at AHS.

Hey students! If you are interested in kayaking, hiking, rock climbing and lots of adventure, the Spring Break Grand Canyon trip is for you! Stop by and see Ms. Durow in the science office.

Attention all Amnesty members! Come to the meeting Tuesday, Sept. 12th in room N6. We will listen to the Beatles and write urgent action letters.
