General Announcements

Washington College in Maryland is visiting at 11:15 today

French Club will have its first meeting today, September 18th in Room C-24 right after school! Please come! We have lots of new and great plans for this year that we would like to share!! All levels of French are invited to attend.

Hey all of you interested in volunteering for Habitat for Humanity, we will have a short meeting on Wednesday, September 20th in room C18 after school.

Attention all Future Business Leaders of America: Our Ultimate Frisbee game is today, September 18th from 4pm -6pm on the south lawn. Remember to bring your forms and dues. The game starts late so you can come after sports and friends are always welcome. Hope to see you Monday, FBLA

The PSAT/SAT Seminar today and tomorrow, September 18 & 19 will be held in Rooms W201 & W202.

Attention all seniors! Do you want to be a part of making our last Homecoming the best one ever? Come to the senior class float meeting, Wednesday morning at 6:45am in room C1 to help design and plan the float in the Homecoming parade. Let’s win the float contest for the 4th year in a row!

Are you sick of eating the same thing every day? Come join us for a delicious BBQ sponsored by DECA! On Wednesday, September 27th (yep, that’s HOMECOMING week!!) The DECA BBQ will take place during first and second lunch!! We will be serving hamburgers AND hotdogs, chips, cookies, and soda. IT’S ONLY ONE DAY – SO DON’T MISS OUT!!

Are you interested in technology? Do you like building things like CO2 cars, Architectural Models, Balsawood bridges? Do you have good leadership and problem-solving skills? Are you interested in Computer Graphic Design or Promotional Graphics? “Do you like to compete locally and nationally? Then the Technology Student Association Club or, TSA club is for you. Please come to the first TSA club meeting tomorrow, Tues Sept 19th in room E10. This will be a brief informational meeting to find more about this school, state, and national organization. Snack will be provided! Hope to see you there!! See Mr. McMullen in the Technology Education Department for more information!

Athletics

Attention all interested GIRL GOLFERS; please attend a short meeting in room S8 on Thursday, Sept. 21st after school. If you cannot attend please see Mrs. Abner in the PE Office. Thanks and see you on Thursday.

Attention AHS Girls' Lacrosse Players and any girls interested in learning more about the girls' lacrosse program. There will be an important information meeting on Monday, October 2nd at 7:00 p.m. in the Forum. Please come and learn more about the program pick up registration materials and sign up to receive informational emails. We look forward to seeing you on the 2nd!

Congratulations to the boys and girls cross-country teams for placing 2nd overall at the Kadet Invitational this past Friday. Top finishers were Kalb Van Essen & Matt Ryan in the boys Race. Top finishers in the girls Race were Katie Monnett and Emily Kirchhofer. Congratulations to all finishers!

Congratulations to the sophomore volleyball team who defeated Heritage in the finals on Saturday to take first place in the Heritage Tournament. Margo Lips was named the MVP of the all tournament team, please congratulate her! The Warrior Volleyball team takes on Regis tomorrow night at home; we hope to see you there!
