General Announcements

We regret to announce that the Homecoming Talent Show will not be held this year because of problems with stage lighting in the theater. We encourage all of you talented AHS students to try out for the Prom Talent Show to be held this spring. Thank you, the Class of 2009.

Drama club and audition workshop today after school. Check callboard for details and audition sign-ups. Auditions for “Our Town” are scheduled for Tues and Wed of next week.

Hey Warriors! AT 4:00 tomorrow, August 30th, Link Crew will host the annual ALL-SCHOOL tailgate. Join us in the West parking lot for food, music, and games, plus a free ride to the football game against Chaparral. Bring your friends and 2 bucks for food. Also, wear your black and gold to school. If you have questions, contact Mrs. Moritz or Mrs. Ackerman in the English department. Rah Rah!

ANYONE AND EVERYONE INTERESTED IN THE MUSE MAGAZINE, ARAPAHOE’S MAGAZINE OF ARTS AND LITERATURE: BE SURE TO ATTEND OUR FIRST OFFICIAL MEETING TOMORROW, AUGUST 30TH, AFTER SCHOOL IN C-17. IF YOU’RE INTERESTED IN A LEADERSHIP POSITION IN THE MUSE, YOU NEED TO BE THERE. WE’LL BE MAKING DECISIONS ABOUT THE REST OF THE YEAR, SO BE THERE AND FIND OUT WHAT IT MEANS TO MUSE! Hey all you marketing students! Don’t forget about the DECA all-club meeting this Thursday at 2:20 in room S1. Come meet your officers, learn more about DECA and get some free PIZZA!

Attention freshmen! Please meet with your freshmen class sponsors on Tuesday, September 4th at 2:30 in C-13. Mrs. Davis and Mrs. Ackerman would like to meet the freshmen class officers as well as any freshman who is interested in working on Homecoming. Join us to keep the thriving AHS traditions alive!

Hey Habitat for Humanity members! Our first meeting will be on Wednesday, September 5th in room C-18. New members, come for an introduction to what Habitat is all about. Veterans, this meeting is a must if you are interested in a leadership position.

The boy’s varsity tennis team defeated Douglas County by a score of 6-1 yesterday. Come out to the Arapahoe and Powell tennis courts tomorrow to watch your JV tennis teams go up against Castleview.
