General Announcements

Juniors and Seniors: You need to have a valid parking permit to park in the student parking lots. Do not park in the fire lanes or areas that are indicated as no parking. This is a safety and security issue and parking tickets will be written.

There will be a lost and found table in the cafeteria this week. Please check the table for any missing belongings.

Senior pictures are due TOMORROW, August 28th. If you need to sign up to have your senior picture taken at school tomorrow or Wednesday, see Mrs. Fudge in room E-8.

Hey Arapahoe High School!! It’s that time of the year to nominate royalty for Homecoming. Tomorrow the 28th of August you will have the chance to nominate the person you think best represents AHS through involvement and participation in our school! Nominate your choice in the cafeteria tomorrow.

Hey Pride Tribers! It’s that time of the year again; time to get pumped up and show our school spirit! Be at our first meeting this Wednesday August 29th in room W-105. We will be deciding on the T-shirt design that day, so come with your ideas.

Attention Academic Peer Coaches! Please see Mr. Low in the Study Center to check the day and the period you are scheduled to help in the Study Center for first semester. The schedule has recently been updated so please verify your scheduled time.

Seniors! Don’t forget, Senior Memory Blocks are due October 15 – your parents received the order form last May.

Hey you Wild Warrior Women! Our first meeting will be TODAY in room W-104. All senior women are invited to attend. We will be discussing one of our biggest events of the year; homecoming! So you don’t want to miss it. See you this afternoon!

Is it hot in here....or is it just the juniors? JUNIORS, lets heat up homecoming this year! On Tuesday, August 28th, we will be meeting in room C4 at 2:20 to discuss our homecoming float ideas. We need your thoughts if you haven't been involved before, this is your chance! Plus, there will be lots of candy!!!!






FBLA had a fantastic win in Chicago this summer. Arapahoe students Raycel Hirsh, and Steven Doss placed 4th in Desktop Publishing. Former Arapahoe students Kelly Hanson, Mary Hayworth and Nikki Markison placed 8th in Emerging Business. They competed against 220,000 nationwide to place in the top.

Athletics


Congratulations to the varsity softball team on winning their season opener over George Washington Friday by a score of 9 to 5. Lauren Leonard got her first win as a varsity pitcher and Megan Janes lead the team in hitting with a double and three RBI’s. Way to go ladies!
