General Announcements

SENIORS – Don’t miss being in your Senior Class Picture. The picture will be taken this Thursday, August 30, at 8:00 a.m. in the Gym. Please report to your first period class, and you will be dismissed from there to the Gym. Seniors, this will be the only time your Group Class Picture will be taken – so DON’T MISS OUT!

Juniors and Seniors: You need to have a valid parking permit to park in the student parking lots. Do not park in the fire lanes or areas that are indicated as no parking. This is a safety and security issue and parking tickets will be written.

There will be a lost and found table in the cafeteria this week. Please check the table for any missing belongings.

We regret to announce that the Homecoming Talent Show will not be held this year because of problems with stage lighting in the theater. We encourage all of you talented AHS students to try out for the Prom Talent Show to be held this spring. Thank you, the Class of 2009.

Drama club and audition workshop on Wed. after school. Check callboard for details and audition sign-ups. Auditions for “Our Town” are scheduled for Tues and Wed of next week.

Hey Pride Tribers! It’s that time of the year again; time to get pumped up and show our school spirit! Be at our first meeting tomorrow August 29th in room W-105. We will be deciding on the T-shirt design that day, so come with your ideas.

Seniors! Don’t forget, Senior Memory Blocks are due October 15 – your parents received the order form last May.

Is it hot in here....or is it just the juniors? JUNIORS, lets heat up homecoming this year! We will be meeting in room C4 at 2:20 today to discuss our homecoming float ideas. We need your thoughts if you haven't been involved before, this is your chance! Plus, there will be lots of candy!!!!

Hey Warriors! AT 4:00 on Thursday, August 30th, Link Crew will host the annual ALL-SCHOOL tailgate. Join us in the West parking lot for food, music, and games, plus a free ride to the football game against Chaparral. Bring your friends and 2 bucks for food. Also, wear your black and gold to school. If you have questions, contact Mrs. Moritz or Mrs. Ackerman in the English department. Rah Rah!

ANYONE AND EVERYONE INTERESTED IN THE MUSE MAGAZINE, ARAPAHOE’S MAGAZINE OF ARTS AND LITERATURE: BE SURE TO ATTEND OUR FIRST OFFICIAL MEETING THIS THURSDAY, AUGUST 30TH, AFTER SCHOOL IN C-17. IF YOU’RE INTERESTED IN A LEADERSHIP POSITION IN THE MUSE, YOU NEED TO BE THERE. WE’LL BE MAKING DECISIONS ABOUT THE REST OF THE YEAR, SO BE THERE AND FIND OUT WHAT IT MEANS TO MUSE! SEE YOU THIS THURSDAY AFTER SCHOOL, IN C-17.

Art Club is meeting today after school in Room E11.


Athletics

Congratulations to the golf team for the following performances: 1st place out of 15 teams at Grand elk led by Steven Moore’s 69 and Ben Sauer’s 72. 1st place out of 33 teams at Thorncreek led by David Perry’s 74, 1st place out of 7 teams at South Suburban led by David Holtgrewe and Dalton Becky with 75, 1st place out of 15 teams at Aurora Hills led by David Perry’s 73, and 5th place out of 22 teams at Riverdale Knolls led by Austin Wertz and Matt Leuders with 76.
