General Announcements

THE MUSE MAGAZINE NEEDS ALL RETURNING STAFF, AND ANYONE INTERESTED IN HELPING WITH THIS YEAR’S EDITION, TO COME TO A MEETING ON THURSDAY THE 23RD, IN C-17 RIGHT AFTER SCHOOL. THAT’S AUGUST 23RD, THIS THURSDAY AFTER SCHOOL IN C-17 FOR THE MUSE, ARAPAHOE’S MAGAZINE OF ARTS AND LITERATURE.

Seniors – the deadline to submit your senior picture and senior bio to the yearbook is next Tuesday, August 28th! Those of you who still need to have your senior pictures taken for the yearbook can sign up with Mrs. Fudge in room E-8. Photographers will be coming on Tuesday and Wednesday August 28 and 29th.

ATTENTION ALL YOU ARAPAHOE ARTISTS!!! Freshman that includes you! We will have a quick Art Club meeting after school Thursday, August 23. Come to Room E11.

STUDENT COUNCIL ELECTIONS FOR FRESHMAN ARE COMING REAL SOON. If you would like to run for a Student Council Class officer position you MUST attend “an intent” to run meeting on Thursday, Aug. 23rd at EITHER 6:50am or 2:30 pm in Room S9. Any freshman can run for class office but you must attend this informational meeting. Applications will be passed out.

Students: If you had Ms. Price for a social studies class last year, please remember to give her your summer book reviews. She needs your good work for the “What Warriors Read” list.

Drama Club will have a short meeting Thursday at 2:30 to get the year started. Everyone is welcome. See Callboard for details.

The first Speech Club meeting will be this coming Tuesday, August 28, at 2:30 in room C-15. Regular meetings will take place on Monday afternoons. Stop by the Speech Club table this Monday during Club Cafe for candy and camaraderie! Speech Club officers will meet Friday afternoon after school in room C15.


Hey Arapahoe High School!! It’s that time of the year to nominate royalty for Homecoming. On Tuesday the 27th of August you will have the chance to nominate the person you think best represents AHS through involvement and participation in our school! Nominate your choice in the cafeteria THIS Tuesday.

Attention all National Honor Society members. We need ten volunteers to help with Back to School night next week. Each volunteer will receive 3 hours of service credit. Please see or email Ms. Gaffney in the Language Arts department by Monday if you are interested.

Congratulation to all the returning TSA students that attended and competed at the national TSA conference in Nashville, Tennessee this June: Nick Turner, Josh Sheeran, Ethan Grebe, Hayden Price, and Laine Greaves-Smith. Congratulations go to the team of Nick Turner and Laine Greaves-Smith who placed second nationally in the "Animatronics" competition, and to former Arapahoe Student Brian Ward who took a top ten finish in "Architectural Modeling".
