General Announcements

YOU BETTER WATCH OUT, YOU BETTER NOT CRY, YOU BETTER NOT POUT, I’M TELLING YOU WHY…SANTA CLAUS IS COMING TO TOWN. Yes…Santa is coming to bring a new toy for each boy and girl at Fairview Elementary and the Denver Indian Health and Family Services Center. Today is the kickoff for the AHS Toys for Tots. We have 12 school days to reach our goal of 1000 toys. Join us by bringing a new toy, priced between $10 and $15, to the Attendance Office. We know Arapahoe can make it happen! Let’s make this a special holiday for the kids.

Congratulations Warriors! Our school has once again won the Broncos Tackle Hunger Food Drive. The Class of 2013 wishes to thank you for your generosity. We especially want to congratulate the freshmen humanities class – they won the US History competition by bringing in over 200 cans of food. Ms. Parmenter’s choir classes and the chemistry classes also brought in over 90 boxes of food. Stay tuned for details on the upcoming Bronco assembly.

Attention all FCCLA Members: Today is our big meeting! We will be sorting games, making GIFTS IN A JAR, and having our club photo taken. All officers, members, and new members should plan to attend this extremely important meeting! See you there FCCLA.

Witness love, hate, confusion, and then witness confusion some more. “What the Heck Was That? A Night of One Acts” – for tickets see a company member or Mr. Earley.

Athletics

Congratulations Toms for taking 2nd place at the Mile High Spirit Regional Championships. Your performance was wonderful, and we are proud of you! Go Toms!
Congratulations to the Varsity Volleyball team for their tremendous showing at State Volleyball this weekend. After losing two tough matches to Ponderosa and Doherty on Friday, the Warriors showed incredible heart and came back Saturday morning to beat Pine Creek in five sets. This forced a three way tie and a do or die play-off match to get into the semi-finals. They were knocked out by Ponderosa, the eventual State Champs, but demonstrated why they deserved to be at the State Tournament. Congrats on an outstanding season, and a big thank you to the four ladies who sang the National Anthem Friday morning, the cheers, and everyone else who came down to support the team!

The boy’s athletic locker room is needed by athletes involved in winter sports. Therefore, any locker containing football gear will have the lock cut and the contents removed Tuesday the 17th after school. If you have football gear in a locker, please turn it in by then.
