General Announcements

HO! HO! HO! AHS Toys for Tots has a goal of 1000 toys for Fairview Elementary and the Denver Indian Health and Family Services Center. We now have about 50 toys in the building. We need 950 more toys to meet our goal. We have only 8 school days to collect them. Watch for sales – the best way to shop, and start bringing your toys in tomorrow. You make it happen Warriors!

The Arapahoe Herald recently won the highest award in the nation, called the Pacemaker Award, from the National Scholastic Press Association. We submitted several issues from last year’s newspaper, which were judged for general excellence by professional journalists and by scholastic journalism advisers. Congratulations to the editors and staff members of the Arapahoe Herald newspaper.

Congratulations to our fabulous chess team! Arapahoe beat Englewood H.S. 7:1! Please recognize Parker Hoggan, Kevin Rohde, Barry Tischler and Richard Prati for their outstanding efforts!

Attention French Club! Please plan to attend a meeting at 2:30 in Room C-20 on Thursday, November 19. We are going to discuss “Toys for Tots” and collecting money for the Denver Rescue Mission. Refreshments will be served! Merci.

The Performing Arts Department proudly presents the Fall Jazz Concert this Thursday at 7:00 p.m. in the Theatre. Come and enjoy both of our wonderful Jazz Ensembles. Seating is limited and is on the stage.

AGAIN DUE TO THE WEATHER CONDITIONS AND THE LACK OF SNOW, the Student Council Class activity will be here at Arapahoe tomorrow, Friday, November 20.
We will meet in the art room – Room E5 after school. Don’t miss out on the paint war of the century! Let’s see which team wins. Be sure to bring an old white shirt or an old shirt you can turn inside out. For further information, contact your sophomore class officers; Anish Punjabi, Molly O’Donnell, Kaity Ireland, Paige Ledesma, and Margo Cohn.

Listen up all TSA members; don’t forget about the next TSA meeting next Monday Nov 23rd. We will be testing your “Mini Castle Ballistics” projects. Also, it’s time already to register for the State TSA conference. Information and registration packets will be given at this meeting! It’s not too late to join TSA, please come to this meeting to get in on all the Fun!!
