General Announcements

Congratulations to our talented mathematicians! Tom Roberts earned a very high score on the American Mathematics Competition, AMC-12. He qualifies to participate in the prestigious American Invitational Math Exam. Other top scoring students who represent Arapahoe’s AMC-12 team include: Jasmine Griffin, Alexandra Abt and Sarah Cheney. Bridget Louis earned the highest score on the AMC-10. Great job to our AHS Mathematical Warriors!

Congratulations to the Wind Ensemble on being selected to perform at the State Concert Band Festival in April!

Tonight come out and enjoy our wonderful Concert Bands as they present the annual Spring Festival Concert in the Arapahoe HS Theater. The event starts at 6:30 p.m. and includes small ensembles, as well as our 3 Concert Bands. There is no admission charge.

There will be a short MANDATORY meeting after school Monday promptly @ 2:25 in E10 for any TSA member that qualified for Nationals and is interested in attending the National TSA Conference this June. If you are interested in going, you must be at this meeting… no exceptions!

Alright Arapahoe, it's almost Warrior Week and you know what that means! The CU Buffoons will be here March 29th performing with your own Arapahoe Singers and our Student/Staff Basketball game is April 1st. Tickets will be on sale in the cafeteria starting Monday, as well as new t-shirts. The proceeds this year are going to St. Jude's Children's Research Hospital and the Dalit Freedom Network.

Attention juniors and sophomores. Remember PSEO applications for fall college classes are due to your Guidance Counselor by 3p.m. today. Don’t miss this exciting opportunity to take college classes! See Mrs. Boyce in Guidance if you have any questions.

The Prom Fashion Show needs your help. We need 2 Awesome Announcers for the fashion show. We will be holding tryouts on Wednesday, March 17 at 2:30 in room S1. Tryouts are open to all students. Hope to see and hear you at tryouts!

This message is for all Junior Female Models in the Prom Fashion Show. There will be a mandatory meeting on Monday, March 15th at 2:30 in S4. It is very important that you attend this meeting or your modeling career could be at stake.

Hey Juniors and Seniors! The time is already approaching! Yes, that’s right; this is your chance to nominate Junior and Senior Class Prom Royalty for the 2010 Prom Dance. Nominations will be held on Tuesday, March 16th in the cafeteria during EVERY period. Don’t miss out!

Hey Seniors – It’s that time of year! We need your input for our class color, flower, motto, and teachers to read names at graduation. We will be taking nominations in the cafeteria Tuesday, March 16 all day! See you there!

Attention All Juniors!!!! Registration for the State ACT is coming….

Athletics

The Girls’ Varsity Tennis team defeated Columbine yesterday by a score of 6-1. The JV team also won, defeating Columbine by a score of 8-0. Congratulations girls! Our next match will be against Cherry Creek next Tuesday.

Come see the Arapahoe Boys Freshman Lacrosse team play Chatfield today after school. They're playing at Powell Middle School today at 3 o'clock. Let's LAX Bro!

The Boys Lacrosse Varsity 2 team competes today with Chatfield High School at 4:30pm at Powell Middle School. The Varsity 2 team also has a Saturday game against Steamboat Springs High School at 1:00pm at the Powell Middle School fields. Go Warriors Lacrosse!
Attention all girls interested in playing softball next fall! There will be a quick informational meeting on Tuesday, March 16th at 2:30 in S4. See you there!

Warriors trying out for JV and Varsity Cheerleading for the 2010-2011 school year, please remember to turn in your physical and application forms to the Athletic Office today. Extra forms are available in the Athletic Office. Please see Mrs. Pramenko if you have any questions.

All Special Olympic basketball partners need to turn in their basketball uniforms to room S6 by today.
